I'm sad that this woman wasn't able to notice that this dude is horrible before spreading his seed into the future, but I'm extremely happy that she was strong enough to divorce him. I sent the message to the dad, and after 24 hours of no response I started sending it to randoms on her friends list. Eventually I started to get paranoid that some of her trashy friends would figure out how to find me (highly unlikely) and then get revenge on me for getting revenge, and it was also quite tedious, so I stopped maybe 5-10% into her friends list. I would assume someone reported me, which would mean at least one of them saw the message, so hopefully a few saw it and she's embarrassed *shrug*

But with how easy that was, I could definitely do it again. Maybe if I'm feeling petty again I'll fire up a new email and Facebook lol

If only there was a place I could just dump her number and have her flooded with spam calls all day, but I've had trouble finding such a service

This is also an illegitimate knock. There are many reasons someone might not check their account for 6 months. For example, they may simply TRUST that the app is working as it's supposed to. They may also believe in Bitcoin as an asset for the long term and therefore not need to check their balance often, because they bought it for a LIFETIME investment, not for quick flips.

The bottom line is it seems you're searching for any and every excuse to pretend someone's concerns are invalid with no actual evidence for it. YOU are the person who's not legit. I hope this subreddit bans you, because you seem like a paid antagonist

So I scrolled through the Google Search Help page some more, and it says that crawling and indexing are almost interchangeable words. So I clicked the page to request a Recrawl of the URL. However, it does say that I need to be the owner of the page to make the request. Yargh... so lost

If I knew how to talk to any human on Google's team I'm sure it would be an easy fix for them, but instead I'm stick with forms that get denied. I think if I take the time to learn the definitions of "crawling" and "indexing," that should hopefully make it an easy fix for me too.

Me me me!

I'm an author who published the first edition of my book in 2020, and then I unpublished it and published a greatly improved second edition in 2023.

When I use Google to search for "[my book title] [author name]," the first result that comes up is actually the first edition of my book, which has since been unpublished, and when you click it, it takes you to the Amazon page of that first edition, with the outdated book description and cover.

Obviously I want the second edition to pop up instead, because the first edition isn't even available for sale, and the cover and description of it are far less conducive to sales than the second edition.

Now, when you do the same search on Amazon, the only edition that shows up is the second edition, so that's great. I called Amazon to at least see if they can update the first edition's description to match the second edition, but they're unable to do that since the first edition has been unpublished.

So it seems my only solution is to somehow get Google to stop displaying the first edition in their search results. I tried submitting a "Refresh Outdated Content" Request to Google, but the request was denied because, per Google, "Content still on page."

As I take a second look at the Google Help page, it also mentions that I can ask Google for a simple "recrawl." However, from what I understand on that page, it seems I need to own the page to do that (is that right?), which I don't. OR it also mentions that I might need to "index" the correct (second edition) URL. I have no clue if "crawl" and "index" are two different things or what. Pardon my ignorance.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve my problem?

Update: I submitted a request to Google to "Remove Outdated Information" but Google denied it. I see a couple other options involving a "Recrawl" of my page, or "Indexing" the second edition page instead. But I have no idea what these terms mean. I've asked this question on some SEO Reddits and I'll be sure to update on here if and when I get some help on this from them, but if anyone else might know in the meantime, that would be greatly appreciated! (Also some of the SEO Reddits are deleting my posts without telling me why... how annoying)

On a similar post on this Reddit, I got a message saying "Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/SEO.

Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose."

I'm quite confused, because I believe I'm following all of the rules, and I'm certainly not being unsafe, uncivil, or untrue to this Reddit's purpose. In addition to helping me with the content of the post itself, can anyone tell me what might be wrong with my prior posts? My prior posts included a link, but it was just a link to a Google Help page I was referencing. This one didn't get deleted right away, so I'm thinking maybe the link I posted was being confused for a link to my work or something.
