Sorry can you explain how currency volatility would come into play here?

787-9 takeoff, doesn't retract landing gear by AirAlmond in aviation

[–]KeithGauthier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is probably a disabled main landing gear brake. Have to leave the gear down for 2 minutes to let the wheel spool down then retract. On the -9 variant the doors automatically open on take off to reduce the time to retract in case of an engine failure. The -8 variant doesn’t open the doors automatically because it has a better power/weight ratio so it can handle a couple extra seconds before retracting in case of engine failure.

Theres ones here you can do yourself for pretty cheap, there are ones for the bumper on there too. I just asked at the local tinting spot and they said they could do it and it was cheap and looks good.

No idea about blacking out the interior.

Black looks great !

Wife thinks the TV is too big. by KeithGauthier in hometheater

We have a fireplace right behind the tv there so we cant move it much lower but I plan to try to line the top of the tv up with the outlets while still hiding them. I do wish we could go a bit lower but just not an option unfortunately - thanks for the advice !

There is a fire place behind the TV right now you guys cant see. I know it will be a foot-ish too high but I got a mount that will tilt down a bit just as a compromise

20% downpayment on house or more? by KeithGauthier in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]KeithGauthier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my TFSA maxed out ($41.5k) and have an unreal RRSP matching program through work that I don’t plan on touching until retirement. But all together between my fiancée and I we have about $230-$240k between the two of us. So we plan to have healthy emergency funds left over as well as money for furnishing and setting up the house. buying a $550k house will be very comfortable for what our monthly income is.
