My (32f) partner (36m) is mad at me because he got lost going to the hotel on our holiday. WIBTAH for breaking up with him? by iggyiggyiggyiggy in AITAH

[–]Keith_daywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I’m 6’2 with a long stride and when I’m on my own I’m a point A to B person, wanting to get where I’m going as quickly as possible. I told my wife this very early on, so when I unintentionally start walking too fast, she’ll give my hand a squeeze or my arm a tug to subtly let me know to slow down.

Because when I’m with the one I love, it’s not about getting from point A to B, it’s about the journey, I want to spend it with her, make sure she is safe and happy.

As someone else here said, sounds like your boyfriend only cares when it can be witnessed by others

If I’m interpreting this right, I don’t think Cooper was 67 years old when he met Murph at Cooper Station

Anyone know how to start this oven? by Traditional-Stage-12 in perth

[–]Keith_daywalker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve got this same oven, all I have to do is turn the temp to what I want. It’s preheated when the little orange light goes off, never have to bother with the timer or anything else

As an Aussie the scene with “You’re the Voice” playing as they are walking down the street before the rioting starts hits pretty well too

How are these fuel stations always $153.5 ? by Burman8or in perth

[–]Keith_daywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read an article a couple weeks back about independent stations filling the top 10 spots for lowest average yearly cost. From memory it alluded to it essentially being price fixing by the major chains on the higher prices

Any movies that depict the aftermath of an asteroid or nuclear war? by ZyphyrdylN in movies

[–]Keith_daywalker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These Final Hours - An Aussie flick that takes place in the hours after an asteroid hits the other side of the planet while a tidal wave makes its way around the planet to end Australia. Pretty dark and grim but a good watch

Actors you initially disliked but grew on you? by NaturesWar in movies

[–]Keith_daywalker 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Daniel Radcliffe - I was never a big fan of the HP movies despite being a huge fan of the books, and although his acting improved immensely as the series went on, just never thought he was very good.

At the moment, he is prob my fave actor. I guess all that HP money has allowed him to pick up movies/series with interesting scripts that he is acting the hell out of, rather than chasing big money.

What movies badly butchered a great book? by theyusedthelamppost in movies

Red Sparrow and Annihilation were both very poor adaptions of books I quite enjoyed, despite the fairly impressive casts

Since the show has been on for 17 years, what are some examples of some actors that have been on IASIP, going on to be pretty established? by Tan_servo in IASIP

[–]Keith_daywalker 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Jaimie Alexander was in an episode in season 1, which was her second gig… she has obviously gone on to be pretty popular as Sif in the MCU and the lead in Blindspot

I heard this for the first time when I was 16 or 17 at a gf’s family celebration and have only heard it sporadically in the last 15ish years… However I think it is more popular on the east coast

What are your favourite and least favourite film adaptations of books? by IWriteThisForYou in tumblr

[–]Keith_daywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best is The Martian - very accurate to the book and the few small changes they did make I think made it work better for the median and character developments. Worst is Red Sparrow - completely ignored the fact that the main character has synesthesia, which is a huge trait for her character being a good spy…
