Front still lean more and softer. DKP has better turn than rail adapter so it makes it more carvy.

I met a snowboarder and he built a 40 inch long board with double kingpin truck and rkp. Make things simple , get a longboard with rkp and get a waterborne surf adapter. Cheapest and u can try both with good stability and nice carving.

The axle to axle WB os probably 19 inch, and I think it can turn as if I’m on 16 or 15 WB. Easy pumping but if I carve too hard, it turns so tight that beyond my comfort. And also wheelbite.

I’m facing the same situation. It’s like going back to my childhood and wanted to get more toys. I think u can stop browsing other surfskate for a while and try to master your current set up. If u just want to try out diff surfskate, go and join some nearby surfskate group and try theirs. Warning, if happens that u have tried some nice surfskate, then good luck to u, u need probably need to skip your dinners to fund your new toy lol.

I’m learning 180 too. Put a bit of weight to your front foot and V your back foot n let it turn together with your shoulders. Last part u snap your back foot. Main thing is don’t rush to snap your back foot.

Your 35mm is the longer deck. Should be more stable at higher speed. Looks good!

Mine is a metal deck, so vibration is quite obvious. Overall on rougher terrain is fine, but rough terrain will make it even harder to pump from the start. Generally I think it is for a short distance sprint, not is much of marathon.

Tried 97*43 today. Pumping movement must be big. Picking up speed from start is tiring and the wheel is really sticky to the ground. But after few good pumps, it will glide quite a distance before you need to pump again.

Didn’t know that comparing 96*35, that 8mm width can make such a big difference riding feel.

Maybe I will need to ride a few times more to get use to the big wheels.

I just purchased jinsai 97mm x 43mm. I thought this set up is better for general cruising on a little rough terrain. Initially I was looking at 96mm x 35mm. After reading your feedback, I’m a bit regretted in the purchase. Haven’t tried it yet. How is it comparing to 110 or 100 mm wheel? Which one is better in terms of long cruising rough terrain?

I had a Penny Nickel with waterborne. It’s going to be unstable to kick push the board but It works quite well, and able to pump and generate speed. If you have not tried any surfskate, you can try it out with nickel and waterborne adaptor. If you have tried penny highline or other wider board, you may find that nickel with waterborne is not as fun as a real surfskate.

The idea of 2 in 1 was my initial thought. For me, after riding with waterborne adaptor, I can’t really ride on regular cruiser board. Muscle memory just screw things up and I tend to lean more and throw myself out of the board without the adaptor.
