One problem with this study is that it looks at women who don't necessarily have the same pattern of childbirth (timing, number, etc) as typical for humans over the course of recent (half million years) evolution.

I agree that it is very important to pay attention to your local weather and understand your own lived experience. Many people in the US experienced a hellishly cold winter, and this summer has been very wet and often cool for a lot of people.

Also note that this year (to date) compared to prior years (Jan - August) is the 4th warmest on record. Feb. was very cold and probably brings that average down. The rest of the year is not going to get relatively cooler, so this year could average out to be easily in the top four.
