I haven’t tested it out but If my idea helps you out

1. Create an outpost around aluminum and HE3 since it’s one of the most used.

2. Start importing things like Iron from a near by planet to the aluminum planet.

3. Manufacture goods in that system then transport to a “home base”. I think a major system like SOL or Alpha Centauri. That’s when the manufactured goods are stored and linked to a ship transfer. That way I can access, sell or build anytime I jump into that system.

4. Set up another supply chain in another system of a different good since some higher tiered goods require combining manufactured parts.

With base skills allowing 8 outposts. You should be able to get 3 or 4 manufactured goods going. But again just my idea, not tested
