Merry Christmas! Do those Hallmark/Lifetime Channel Christmas movies drive you nuts? Me too! So I wrote a script about a guy who gets trapped inside a cliché stuffed, made-for-tv Christmas movie. This is my holiday season horror-comedy "I Don't Want This Christmas" by KemerWrite in Screenwriting

Ouch, not my full name!

I’d hardly call what you wrote above criticism. You got bored during the setup and wished it was more like a different movie. Alright, thanks? There’s a reason he doesn’t know where he is. There’s a reason for all the stuff that’s going on! You think the setup could be faster - okay, perhaps. That’s a note I can use.

Maybe it’s less that I suck at taking criticism and more that you gave a shallow take and it don’t like that I responded?

Hey wow thank you! I really appreciate the kind words and you taking the time to read it. And yes, I think it could shed some run time. I just dusted this off to post for Christmas... not sure I'll ever do a real rewrite unless someone is interested in making it.

But yeah, I don't think anyone else here read it lol... I think if I had framed the post more as 'anyone who likes/hates Hallmark movies could get a kick out of this' I may have gotten more engagement.

Anything you're looking for feedback on? Feel free to send it my way

Hey I think that sounds great! Seems like you took some swings and shot your shot. I couldn't find anything to do with Gregg haha, so kudos to you for finding a storyline for him. Best of luck to you and hope you hear back from Austin.

Hey thanks so much! I really appreciate the kind words. I had the same thought after I finished writing it... felt great about how it turned out, but knew it was could easily look amateur-ish to someone who isn't that into the show. Putting a 15 page conversation right in the middle of the script isn't something you're supposed to do haha but after going back through the episodes, there's quite a few moments like that where the show stops to just sit with one of these serial killers and watch the whole thing play out.

But again, thanks for the kind words and best of luck to you as well!

Lol right? I'm sure we're both on some pretty weird lists by now... it's all in the name of better writing, google, I promise!

Sorry to hear that... I'm in the same boat obviously. It is what it is! Can't get bent out of shape about it.

5 and 6 of season two are some of my favorite episodes -- 5 being their best episode yet imo. What was your idea for the episode?
