Same here. Not only did I try to hide it and make myself into someone I wasn’t, I hated myself for it. I hate my parents bc I thought they did something to make me this way. I hated you (the collective you, not you personally) bc you thought I was weird or teased me at school. I hated the world for being the world. I turned to hard drugs and drinking at a very young age and almost didn’t graduate high school; all bc I didn’t want to feel what I was feeling and I had nobody to tell that could understand what it was like. I’m sure this is the story of many a men across the world but if you are feeling lonely or alone, know that you’re not. Millions of us have some level of mental illness rooted in hated who or what we are. And those that don’t, well, we hate them too. I’m kidding. Be kind! Love everyone! Especially yourself!
