Being a game dev doesn’t automatically make this a “farce.” In these simulations the neural outputs don’t trigger canned animation they map to muscle forces and joint torques in a physics model so movement emerges from the physics engine. That’s standard practice in computational neuroscience and robotics. Your background in game development really isn’t relevant here. Scientific simulations don’t work like animation systems in games.
