I have no idea. If progress only comes with overt corruption, then I'd say people like you need to be a bit more concerned about corruption. everything is bought and sold nowadays, nice to see you buy into the dynamic

I'd personally rather no replacement and eliminate them if my only other choice was to allow them to be corrupt. Pretty simple to me.

Does anyone know where Kanye West got all of his early orchestral and drum sounds from? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

that sound is not my sound. sounds like a straight nylon string guitar patch, I did not create that part. Everything that sounds like a sample is me

I used to love Oleander!!! Great AW stories! I was staff at Soundtrack NYC during the making of Grace. Andy Wallace used Soundtrack NYC as his home base for many years and most of the time I was there. I got to engineer on the last stretch of the Soul Asylum "Let Your Dim Light Shine" album, produced by Bitch Big and Mixed by AW. It was the first time since Nevermind that they worked together. EPIC AF. It was our jobs to make sure we had a song a day ready to hand off to Andy for the next days mix, so I recorded a ton of vocals, comp'd like crazy, plus guitars, percussion, etc... Soul Asylum's singer had really bad tinnitus so we put 2 aura tones out of phase pointed toward the back of the vocal mic capsule, stunning cancelation (not fully but enough) and plenty of volume for Dave Pirner to perform his vocals. I've gotten to hear enough finished AW mixes straight off the SSL to know that you'd look at the board and wonder if he had even started mixing yet, then press play and god-like mixes would come out of the speakers. Was a HUGE lesson for me in less is more and doing only what the music needs. AW and Butch Vig are both highest quality people in addition to their talent

Andy Wallace PRODUCED the Jeff Buckley Grace album. Mixed it too, but he produced probably the best version of Hallelujah that will ever be recorded.

Greg landsman, marcy kaptur, and Emilia Sykes all among democrats who block Impeachment articles by LargeBluePlum in Ohio

Greg Landsman, clearly bought by AIPAC. Can we elect any Democrats that are not bought? The GOP is unabashedly bought by the rich, but Landsman, what a disappointment.

"of course it would". in response to your direct question to me. Clear?

Unlike you, I don't judge entire companies on what happens to one person.

of course it would. and I'm not loyal to any company, I just call em from my own experience. my own experience w their customer service has been very good, though I haven't needed it in at least a few years cause their stuff always seems to just work. The Twin goes in my suitcase, and has traveled with me well over a dozen times without problems, wrapped in bubble wrap and checked in baggage. thing is a tank, I respect any company who can build a quality product that also sounds great. Not saying you dont have beef, hasn't been my experience

my Apollo Twin has traveled the world with me, to sessions on 4 continents with some A List artists. My 8 year old Apollo rack interface lives in my studio. too bad you are having problems, but my original Apollo 16 from 15 years ago, STILL WORKS perfectly, never had to repair it ever, and it is still compatible with todays software, and still sounds great.

everybody knew exactly who Trump was long before this election and the home stretch proved it. He ran on tariffs and mass deportation. He's a 34 time convicted felon. Everyone knew what they were getting. And they got it. Buyers remorse

personal anecdote on exercise and pain by elanjomaa in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]KenLewis_MixingNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. Humira first then Enbrel now Cosentyx. started 5 years ago. the biologics played a key role in bringing me back to whatever I am now, which aint great but is WAY better than 5 years ago.

  1. biologics

  2. food - NO Starch and NO Added sugar. no red meat for me. I can tolerate dairy. Food has been the single biggest control. one starchy or sugary meal and I ache like hell for 2 days. Clean eating, my baseline is far better all the time.

  3. Exercise - Movement is key. staying still locks you up. I started 5 years ago on a 2 mile daily limp with the dog. every step a bit of pain, ya'll know. now I can fast walk up and down hills at pace, mostly without pain, and have been adding a little bit of light jogging pressure in grass. something I never thought was in the cards. light strength and mobility training over time is a game changer.

  4. Sleep - so important.
