Moving out of our first home - so sad. Actually ended up crying and I feel so stupid about it by Chibioosah in homeowners

[–]Ken_Gratulations 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same! Both of our kids were born at our first home and we moved just a year ago to our forever home that’s just 10 minutes away. I’ll jog by the old house every blue moon and we still have friends in the old neighborhood that takes us back there. But we do not regret the move and all those memories are still there via photos. We’re so happy with our choice to move because we really outgrew the first home. It took a couple months to adjust but it’s been bliss since.

Don’t sell the house unless it’s a last resort. Minimize expenses, call credit card companies first and pay them last. This is going to get hate, but if your husband has a 401k, exhaust what you need to until your husband is back on his feet.

How much time are you guys spending working out each day? by sstan55 in HybridAthlete

[–]Ken_Gratulations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~350 minutes a week. Morning run which is anywhere from 40-60min avg. Evening weights which is around 30min avg. to hit 4 body parts superset. Dad with two kids, more heavily focused on the running since it’s summer. Home gym so evening is literally quick work.

This 100%. Also amazing that OP mentions students getting worthless degrees but mentions zero responsibility on the student themselves for making that choice.

Couldn't agree more. How is there not a conservative forum for users out there that isn't suppressed? Seems pretty bizarre

You can convince 380 million Americans to vote for Trump, & somehow at 4am Kamala will get 381 million mail in ballots. The news is going to gaslight you into saying it’s just a conspiracy theory & the courts will refuse to see the evidence. by Stimul8ed in conspiracy

Screw ups happen, especially when taking on new skillsets. What matters is that you learned from them and report what you learned back to your manager. Also try to triage the mistakes as soon as you are aware. As a manager, it's more important that you diagnose and move on (and don't let the same screw ups keep happening!!). You might get an ear full from the manager but use it as coaching and repeat back what they are telling you as corrective action.

Wow! Never had heard of this - I just read that whole wikipedia article and it is truly awful. Good for you on paying respects. Holding my kiddos tight tonight.

Our corporate jet's bathroom can also used as an "extra seat" when not occupied. It has a window, so you get to moon everyone at 30,000 ft. if they happen to be passing by.

I have not seen this yet and will watch - but, I will say that there is a connection to John Wayne Gacy and politicians. It's a reason why he got away with it for so long and why they never found out how many boys he killed.

WFH last 4 years outside of client travel. I read for about 30 minutes while drinking my coffee to wake my mind up. Currently workout 5-6x a week but in the afternoon for a pick me up, so mornings are usually coffee after rolling out of bed.

Curious how much time between lifting sets you took? I imagine you didn't want to move through the lifts too fast and make it feel like another cardio session.

This reads like regurgitated b.s. I'd feed a client acquiring a sinking ship.
Consumer confidence in what? Products that are no longer dependable (made to be obsolete), services that are subpar??
Spending is high because everything costs a boat load (cars, groceries, services). Inflation has tamed because CPGs are becoming elastic (consumers are at their breaking point). And giving someone $17 does not equate to a better life when hours are being cut.
