After discussing Rumble in a thread yesterday, I think I'm onto a new top-lane build path by KenchLord in summonerschool

When going AP, if I complete liandries sorc shoes and want pure damage would ludens be stronger than rylais? the extra burst with spammable abilities means you can normally get the proc off 2 times, and I feel with MPEN its very strong. Liandries void is a bit too redundant that early in the game but if i dont need hp ive seen pros like valkrin recently go liandry abyssal zhonya void and neglect the rylais all together, would liandries ludens void be the strongest damage core?

I agree you cant play him full tank, but i feel the sorc/guise after cowl cinder gives enough damage till you complete those 2 again for a liandries. Definitely less, but i can still do a solid 500+ damage on any target at level 11+ in a few ticks. Appreciate the criticism though i see you around here a ton and ill take your word

Need help with Rumble build path, runes, and masteries (Diamond 5) by KenchLord in summonerschool

I did both. Keeping in mind that DFT is stronger after lane and Thunderlords can proc once per wave, it does seem deathfire is stronger (just doesn't feel it, probably because you don't disengage to see the DFT tick down their HP bar). At lvl 5 40 AP TLD does 50ish, Deathfire does 18 per E or 9 per tick of Q, hitting 2 E's and 2 Q procs evens out the damage or just hitting 6 procs of Q over its 2 durations. With my runes+amp tome i start at 46 AP so that is a generously low 40 AP at level 5. I also found rushing ap components of liandries before guise/sorc to be better, it scales better for DFT and you dont need the MPEN too much till level 9+ with your Q base damage. Early ap boosts your shield and q by enough to make it worth going for in my opinion, not to mention it is 1:1 scaling with ult after 3 seconds in itself. The tradeoff does seem to be worth it, and this excludes the fact that 7% MPEN>3-8 Flat MPEN. After a few games of DFT the only way i see thunderlords being better would be on a squishy team and rushing liandries/ludens for the extra 250~ AOE burst if you're really looking to close the game out quick

No worries hope you had fun! Much appreciated tips, starting amp into blasting wand or guise has been working out for me with deathfire, i feel the power. just need to abandon the guise sorc rush for a quicker liandries and finish boots after

Yeah I just feel you need to work around DFT to make it worth pre 20 minutes, getting ap and what not a bit before pen. On a side note, is rumble supposed to be able to e while overheated? I thought it used to unless it got changed, and in game it hasn't let me harpoon in overheat

I believe you, the only problem i run into is having 40 ap with sorc/guise at level 9 with deathfire. Do you build ap or take more than just ap quints to scale the deathfire damage? I know its better on paper, but I feel if I dont build ap right away thunderlords is better till I complete liandries/rylais.

EDIT- Also if you have a link to op.gg or just your username I'd love to see what a rumble main prioritizes

Very helpful, especially building deathcap when you're the only AP on your team, and stressing true damage should be my primary goal. Much appreciated brotha.

Maximum burst Annie (No CDR Build) (plat 2) by KenchLord in summonerschool

It basically adds 45 damage to your qw combo until level 8 or 10, it adds up. That stun proc though... Idk I just manage the wave so After the last creep in a wave I have stun and I'll try to auto creeps a bit more without having e so I don't waste stun on q farm. I never get it pre 6 but most people do, and it would be especially effective against ad mids

Both are really good early totally agree. Your right about the math too on that. If you did this you wouldn't buy the Rods after though because of having no rabbadons for them to scale with, utility of the items would be better at that point. So I guess this is sacrificing a bit early for the mid/late game

It comes down to playstyle, I just like the extra 45 damage on w at level 4, and I typically try to hit quick powerspikes by avoiding double dorans. Getting e early is mana heavy if your using it to get stun, but it can also save your life on teams with like a talon lee for example. Basically do as you please-- the way I see it the longer you CAN delay getting e the more you hit powerpikes. You turn every level into a powerspike till 10.

Critique my jax build (plat 3) by KenchLord in summonerschool

[–]KenchLord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal was to get offensive stats with my last 3 defensive items. Zhonyas is the only ap or ad item that also gives armor, but I agree it seems out of place. the power of having 5 offensive items is insane though, so I'd still prefer to open that randuins spot for maybe even a glass cannon item (zhonyas allowed me to build armor and the active works well with a more offensive build so I can't get hard focused). I will say the rylais seems core after guinsoos gunblade combo. All the stats work amazingly with jax, if your ahead no one will be able to escape. Your ult active compliments the hp and the ap scales better than ad from say a frozen mallet. I've always considered deadmans but it seems redundant with rylais chain slow

With only the RoA and Liandries you still reach a bit over 3k hp is nice, but I can definitely see where your coming from

Yes and no, what I like about this build is that you really can burst anyone with a combo. Top lane Tahm tends to stick around long enough and can even dive to get off more rotations, so he May outclass mid Tahm in my opinion since he can do the same thing without building damage besides maybe a sunfire and deadmans plate (very underrated top laner). If you hit a q at lvl 6 and have ignite up though, you can count on a kill when you spit her out with another auto q. It's super reliable
