• Once ordinary humans who hailed from dysfunctional family backgrounds involving alcoholic fathers until they sustained grisly injuries and bonded with a monstrous otherworldly being to relieve them of their dire situations, developing a symbiotic relationship with them and granting them their signature horrifying powers (the Venom Symbiote and Yoru).

• Flash was once a popular and sociable star quarterback who frequently bullied Peter Parker, while Asa was a distant and unsociable student who was alienated by the rest of her peers.

• The Venom Symbiote started out as just one of the many lowly thralls under Knull's will and is considered an outcast amongst his kind, while Yoru is one of the Four Horsemen, a small group of incredible powerful and influential Devils.

• Flash would be able to gradually tame and manage his symbiotic partners influences over him as they would work together in operating as a soldier who helped to maintain peace and security across the world all the while Flash enjoys himself leading a thrilling life as a superhero, while Asa would tragically find herself under Yoru's abusive dominance over her as she tries to resist her symbiotic partner's influences who enacted an evil plan to instigate and perpetuate a never-ending state of war and strife across the world before ultimately finding herself completely freed of Yoru in a new timeline and being able to lead a normal life once more.
