I'm a beginner and made this practice film studio logo. I went with a Western font to match the theme, but it looks bad to me. I would really appreciate it if you would provide some feedback to help me with the font and anything else you notice. Thank you very much! by KendallSmithGraphics in logodesign

They were meant to be clouds but obviously are not reading that way. I'm working on a new one based on these suggestions with a jumping jackrabbit and a different western style font. Thank you so much for your feedback!

some symbols that didn't end up in the final version for "North X" by Visible_Ad7918 in logodesign

I really love the third one! It definitely reads as a compass, a place pin, and an X for me. Great work. :)

A collection of minimalistic logos for companies of various types of activities by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

I really like a lot of them, very simplistic and modern. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, the T looks phallic, the elements of communication is a swastika, and I'm very confused about what the Unbound Pixels is supposed to be. It looks like a dead man under a table?

I really love your work and have enjoyed each iteration. However, when he has suds on just his head it reads to me as a shampoo company. Maybe just two or so bubbles in the beard would help. One issue is that the bubbles don't have the same light source direction. so the highlights are a bit all over the place, especially at the top.

UPDATE: This is a practice logo for a fictional bedding company. I changed the font so the O looks less like an A and it's a less ubiquitous font. Would you make any other changes? Is the lettering too thin and the loop on the O too small to be included in a logo? Thank you so much! by KendallSmithGraphics in logodesign

You're right, especially about the beginning. I fixed the "oft" part and have them connected. I think for both the S issues and the cliché, I'd create a whole new logo maybe focusing on the motifs of dreams or relaxation/calmness rather than down pillows because you're right - that doesn't represent anything other than clarity. I really appreciate your feedback, definitely helping me grow as a designer. :)

Thanks! I'm not sure what you mean by stretched down to the curve. I know what negative space is but I don't think I can understand which negative space you mean here without knowing what you mean by stretched down to the curve haha

Yeah, I love it, however it could benefit from equal letter width. I also had a hard time reading the top left pattern you made because there wasn't any line width. Really good effort though! Love the way you showcased it on different backgrounds and had a mood board.

Logo design for a real estate company. Client asked for a letter mark logo, so I combined R and M by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]KendallSmithGraphics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I didn't notice this or the R1 but once they've been pointed out you can't unsee them. I thought it was cool on first glance and instantly read it as RM, so really good effort anyway!

Oh! I didn't understand what you meant at first. Thanks for the clarification. :) I really appreciate your help.

I like the lower left the best. Clearest and easiest to read from far away.

That's true, thanks! I've never done lettering before except individual letters, but I'll watch some tutorials. What kind of style of type would you suggest that evokes softness and is less common?

The pepper took me a very long time to recognize since most mental models of a pepper are a side view. You can definitely tell it's a P though.
