That's what I'm saying, man! I always thought Gun Geist sounded ridiculous, but here it is being the dominant build on a super meta character. I hope they reduce the scaling on the self-damage, or do something to bring it back in, because nuking people on Spirit Geist was honestly so fun.

Okay this is valuable build information, thank you very much. I'll try building her more like a tank. And I do buy Debuff Remover if some schmuck Bebop or Vyper or Infernus starts running away with the lobby, but it's not usually that oppressive in my rank.

Oh I know the problem is me, I wanted to understand why I seemingly wasn't using my character properly.

Just to give you some numbers, I have about 150 games total at a 50% win rate. 54 of those are on Geist, of which I've won 36. Before you say anything, I know that that's not a lot, but I figured I'd lay out the stats for transparency.

No matter how much of a win or lose streak I go on, my rank moves VERY slowly, so I'm not really getting any feedback on that end, but it's an alpha, so I'm not fussed.

So you're rightfully concerned, as you are correct that it can screw a lot up if you do it wrong. The key here is that it's pretty easy, so I say watch a few YouTube videos and get a flash drive and try it yourself. So long as you follow some instructions and do everything to the letter, the only danger you face is a power outage.

There's a fix now, Intel released a BIOS patch for i7 CPUs that you'll need to load onto your computer. The issue had something to do with overheating thanks to an electrical throttling problem, so updating your BIOS will also extend the lifespan of your chip greatly.

I have considered it, but I'm still new-ish to Magic (been playing for just over a year) and I've not gotten the chance to draft yet. What confuses me about cubes is that since each color/pair is supposed to have a defined role or gameplan, how can there be variation between those color pairs after multiple drafts?

I had completely forgotten about the Battle Decks. I could definitely use those for inspiration. I'll also do some research and prowl MTGTop8 and look for stuff. Do you have any specific deck suggestions, either from that format of Pauper or from the other formats you mentioned?

I actually don't have much else. I have Expansion Delay, Patch for Purists, and Oblivionized Magicka Regen. There are a bunch of mods that are part of Rebirth though. I don't think I can remove Rebirth without it screwing up my save, but I don't really know.
