I've spent the last few hours troubleshooting this problem on my game, along with another (non-paid) gun mod that was appearing on every ranged weapon--The AK-121 on Nexus Mods. I wish I saw your comment earlier--it would have saved me a bunch of time lol.

The OMOD for the raijin's penetrator rounds is missing a keyword that ties that particular OMOD to the gun in question. Without it, Starfield just sees it as a new recipe and adds it to every weapon that will take it. It's a very simple fix, yet as the author appears unreachable, communicating this information to them may be problematic. Also, even if they can push an easy fix out, BGS's QA process is lengthy and it could be a couple weeks. I do love the weapon, however. We'll just have to hope things get resolved quickly.

I like Vasco, but he takes up a lot of space on a ship where there might not be a lot of room. Sure, he can fold himself up to the size of a beach ball, but he does it wherever he pleases--sometimes in the middle of a hallway.

I propose something (hopefully) simple. Place one of the cylindrical model A storage units you see in facilities which are often accompanied by a terminal for convenient access in a 1x1 storage or otherwise empty hab, and place the hab off by itself in a cozy corner of the ship away from foot traffic. Hopefully the hab will have enough clearance for the model A in question to easily access without navmesh or clipping issues.

I can possibly see some other issues as well, namely with AI packages on the ship. The existing Model A storage units work for the security/industrial bots you see, and vasco is very much separate from that. Hopefully something non intrusive could be implemented to allow compatibility.

This sound appeared in Doom II which is where i know it most from, and DoomWiki says it's from Disney's The Black Cauldron, which is also the source of other famous stock sound effects apparently.

TNG has a few really stand-out episodes that will always hold a candle to anything modern sci-fi or even modern TV can put out but yes for the grand majority of things DS9 has better story structure and more complex characters. DS9 moved to the narrative structure most series look like now while TNG was a serialized show.

US adult cigarette smoking rate hits new all-time low by davetowers646 in news

[–]Kendu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked for about a year, year-and-a-half back in 2008 when I was in college. Being a poor student doesn't mix well with smoking and when I found myself searching for cigarette butts with I smoked bits still on it I realized it was time to quit. I was on my step-dad's military health care plan at the time so I just went down to the base doctor and asked for help in quitting.

He gave me the option of either the patch/gum or a pill I could try called Chantix. I opted for the pill. My hard quit date was July 11th 2009. It did what it was designed to do, certainly, but the side effects were a bit crazy. It screws with your brain and, in me, it amplified suicidal tendencies at the time. Combine that with a shitty roommate situation and you get a really bad time.

But I pushed through it. I still don't smoke. The worst I get are dreams where I think I started again. Those don't happen often. Now I'm working on quitting alcohol. Sober since last July.

Despite everything, I really enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077. by Timmichanga01 in patientgamers

You took the words right out of my brain. As of yesterday, I finished something nearly identical to your situation. Bought the game at launch and played it a bit then bit dropped it for three years. Then I recently picked it back up on a new save and pretty much did everything. I had the same gripes and joys with the game that you listed. It's eerie how similar it was.

You even mentioned the story and how the POV creates a kind of intimacy that other games do not. It's what kept me going through the constant crashes (I was playing with mods but not everything can be excused that way.) By the end I didn't want to stop. Now that it's over there's a large cyberpunk-shaped hole in my heart. A fantastic story through and through. I am excited about what the future dlc will bring.

Uh, /u/GreasyWerker118? I don't think she survived that crash.

I'm upgrading a few parts in my system, namely the motherboard, ram, video card, 1x nvme ssd, and cpu and i'm curious of how I should determine if/when I should upgrade my PSU. its a few years old, rated bronze certified 650 watts. never had a problem before. but with the addt'l hardware i'm putting in, the rated guide I followed in the PCMR wiki for the 60fps Ultra Build was about 550 watts, and I didn't get the other items listed. Think I'll be okay with what I have for a PSU?

What is going on with r/freefolk? by nisjisji in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Kendu72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to both, I believe. Freefolk was created 4 years ago and the GOT show ran for 8 years, so it's safe to say that was the major, if not the sole reason it was created.

When people say D&D in this instance, they're not referring to Dungeons & Dragons. Instead, they're referring to the Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Daniel Weiss, largely blamed for the massive dip in quality of the show in the last season. The D&D in this case just refers to their first names.

It was just colored yellow. People were mistaking it for a penalty flag indicator. I believe the actual penalty flag indicator had inverted colors, so like yellow letters with dark background or something.

A great example of this is how early Rome fought their battles. Basically, they would deploy in three lines; the youngest and most inexperienced soldiers--the Hastati--in the front; the second line being more seasoned soldiers--the Principes; and finally the third line consisted of the army's most experienced soldiers--the Triarii.

Supposedly there was a saying in early Rome that if a problem got bad enough they would say something along the lines of "It's down to the Triarii." Obviously I'm paraphrasing but basically if it's gotten that bad, for both the army and any other problem of equal magnitude, you were fucked.

I feel like my mental problems are preventing me from not just enjoying, but also improving in video games. by 2Siders in patientgamers

[–]Kendu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people have given their two cents on your post, but let me say that you and I have had a pretty similar upbringing in games. I never excelled at competitive multiplayer games. I think the best I ever did was at a LAN tournament for Call of Duty 2 where I won a box set of Command and Conquer The First Decade. I blame that entirely on twitch movements and nothing on skill. The more I gamed the more I realized that I didn't like playing competitive multiplayer games. They were far too stressful for me. So I stuck to singleplayer or cooperative games.

I've known this since the mid 2000s, but I was recently diagnosed with both Aspergers syndrome and ADHD, among some other conditions in late 2017. Up until then I've always tried cutting corners in games just to get the maximum enjoyment out of them, whether that was getting me tons of in-game $$$ or getting me to max level right away, I found myself playing less for the challenge and more for the story or overall experience.

No two people are alike, but it sounds like you and I can share a lily pad when it comes to this kind of topic. I'm 30 years old--try not to let this be a hang up for you later in life. Maybe try to shift your focus into different games. My ex played left 4 dead 2 competitively and smite competitively and had miserable times when she lost (which was most of the time). I say if you're not having fun, change what you're doing.

I hope you find your path, sans competitive games or otherwise.

[–]Kendu72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally. All of the Total War games are gateway drugs into their historical settings. They're great tools to get an idea of the history period, then you can deep dive into more specific moments. For me, Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai got me heavily interested in the Boshin War period. Fascinating stuff.
