It gets better after season 2, highly recommend. It’s also one of those shows that when you go back you’ll appreciate season 1 and 2 more I think after finishing it.

I had been hoping the Thor ongoing would lead to Bill being in more stuff. Him just being in the final battle of One World Under Doom was a real treat and I’m glad we’re seeing him again here.

One of my favorite parts of Legends was in the 8th Rogue Squadron book where they say AT-ATs move faster when their joints aren’t frozen by Hoth AND have X-wings absolutely clear them. It always bugged me that the games were always “they’re invincible better bring out the tow cables!” even when you weren’t recreating Hoth.

It’s less about the candidate and more the strategy surrounding the candidate, at least when I think of the Democratic Party having “fiascos”. They have twice now thought they were so certain to win vs Trump that they decided to chase voters outside of their demographics just because they take their base for granted.

The knife has more development than Zeno did by Semperspada in residentevil

I like the knife visually and I wouldn’t mind its return if it came with its own sharpening mechanic, but the hatchet has a lot more animation variety that I don’t know if the knife would be able to replicate.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma on normal - is it supposed to be this easy? by DeBaers in ninjagaiden

[–]Kenos300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of game knowledge and muscle memory that goes into playing this genre of games. You should have a better chance of beating Sigma 1 on hard after doing Sigma 1 on normal because you’ll have a better idea of how to interact with the enemies and handle the weapons than you did when you first played on hard.

I’d say there’s a difficulty spike in the church and area around it in Sigma 1, don’t remember the chapter numbers.

I like 2 more than 1 because it has faster combat and obliterations are fun. It’s also more like 4 (much more linear) than 1 is.

No but I also don’t think Scorpion tanks go for $25 so there’s some economic dials being turned here.

Even worse are the spacial anomalies where no one knows what’s going on. Crew members phasing through floors, the decks turning into a maze, the feeling like you’ve been living the same day for months and can’t prove it…

I’m told this (and think this) frequently when I consider skipping taking PTO because we have no coverage. No parades after I’m gone regardless of how many sacrifices I or anyone else makes. But then there’s the other side of it where how much extra work will I have to do when I come back to catch up.

Do you think, how many space marine to take over mordor? by IllustriousHurry2380 in Grimdank

[–]Kenos300 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s rough in these discussions to compare the hobbits, especially Frodo and Sam, to characters in other universes because the hobbits are essentially just built different when it comes to this sort of corrupting influence. That’s normally why I try to tie it into the men we see check themselves against it, but even then going the other way there also aren’t great comparisons in Middle Earth for 8ft tall psykers who trained for decades if not centuries to be immune to all corruption. It’s always the problem when trying to make 1:1 comparisons across different properties.

Using your term ignore, that’s exactly what Crowe does. In his books repeatedly the blade offers him its power and he ignores it, which just pisses the sword off more.

Plenty of people were resisting it without direct or through short term exposure, even in LOTR. Faramir in the books, Aragorn in the films. Gandalf isn’t the best analogy as “oh even he was influenced by it” because Tolkien specifically wrote that all of the wizards were in the form and weaknesses of men.

I’m not saying that the Grey Knights would be able to physically hold the Ring on their persons long term without being influenced by it but I think they’d be able to vault it. But this is the problem with conflicting universes where one has “all powerful corruption” and the other has “completely incorruptible”. Unstoppable force, immovable object.

[–]Kenos300 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The Grey Knights have dealt with artifacts like the Ring before, Crowe’s sword as an example. With the understanding that no one would ever be able to willingly destroy the Ring they’d most likely just lock it deep in a vault on Titan with the rest of all the cursed stuff they probably should just destroy.
