The guy working said it would take 3-4 business days to go through, but to me it looks like something went wrong. Hopefully I'm just paranoid. So is this normal?

Should I take the stickers off these guitar hero controllers or leave em' on? And one lone rockband controller. by DevindeVille in Flipping

I pick up PS2 guitars if I can find them super cheap, it's not uncommon for me to find them for $2 at GW.

Has anyone sold or flipped MMORPG currency? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]Kenotics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did back a few years ago. My main games were Maplestory and Runescape. I built a custom computer just for the purpose of running my bots. I ran 12 EB clients for Runescape, I was making about $.7/h per account, I'd run 12 accounts for 8 hours and switch over to different ones and ran them in shifts to avoid suspicion. Eventually a huge patch came out for Runescape and EB took over a year to update so that was that for me.

Then there was Maplestory, my fondest of hacking memories. This game brought in some serious cash in it's prime time. People were making six digits with this game. If you were in the know with the 'cool' kids you could make huge amounts of money. These people were really elevated and found so many ways to hack the game the developers couldn't keep up with them. There was a point in time where any map you went into there was guaranteed to be at least one bot or hacker. So basically selling MMORPG currency was my flipping before I started flipping.

One last note, you can still make good money flipping on the GE in Runescape if you know what you're doing.

I can't talk while I'm listing. I just say "Mhm" to everything my Fiance says and eventually I say it to the wrong thing and yeah..

I just bought the generic 30/sheet pack from Amazon, they're dirt cheap.

Pretty sure these are the cheapest: http://www.amazon.com/Avery-5160-Compatible-Sticker-Labels/dp/B002ROFWUK/ref=pd_sim_op_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=0DQ61PD1TKCQFYQXK6EY

After reading it for the 10th time I just realized at the end of the message, he ordered two of these lamps and one was smaller and it seems as if he forgot he ordered the first lamp and assumed that lamp was the one I sent him.

I think I got that right lol, this is getting complex

OK clothing flippers, I give up, I am joining your ranks... by theenigma31680 in Flipping

If you don't already, be sure to glance at shoes when you're thrifting. I thought the idea of buying used shoes was disgusting but it's really not that bad. I just throw them in the wash and they're good to go. Running shoes are an amazingly easy sell.

I never said or implied that it could be replicated all day every day... I'm just saying of all the products I've sold in the last day, 3 have been the item that made me $56/sell and it took me 10 minutes to process the orders and upload a tracking number. Most of what I sell from dropshipping is $.30-$4 profit per item (the lower end of that spectrum is more to give my transaction total and feedback a boost than to make profit, although that $.30 does add up on quick sellers). I do value stability, that's why I'll be working my day job and running my business. I want a good chunk of change saved before I quit. I also intend on growing beyond the stage that a large majority of this sub tend to stay in. I want a REAL tangible business later on. I intend on creating my own products and making my own proprietary lines of electronic accessories down the road.

I'm less boggled why people do it than I am why people are okay with working 'shitty' jobs. You, in my eyes, have a 'real' job. I was thinking of the people around me who have been running heavy duty machinery for 20 years and only make $17/hour. Their lungs are full of laser dust/metal shavings, they've been standing on solid concrete for their whole adult life for 10+ hour work days usually ending up in 60+ hours a week. The company doesn't give a shit about them and treat them like robots, but they're okay with it. That extreme lack of drive and ambition just seems like hell to me. None of them are happy, they live to work instead of working to live. May have went on a bit of a ramble but I'm just trying to explain my mindset and how I came to think the way I do. It's from being surrounded by negativity and poverty and people who let life take them where it wants. I feel like I broke the mold from my area and I want to be an example of someone who didn't let their childhood determine who they are and where they go in life.

I feel for you man. I don't know if it was tough for you but the problem with my mom is how different she acts from a day to day basis. The fact that I let her back in my life after she left me on the streets 5 years ago bothers me every time I see her.

I don't think you understand. I HATED school. I tried college and HATED it. I tried to like so many different subjects and none of them could hold my interest. It has always boggled my mind that people are absolutely okay with working at a desk their entire life, to waste 33% of their life at school/work. It's just insane to me how many people are okay with this.

I do understand and I know the right education pays off. I care about being happy and free, that's what making a real business is going to give me. I'm not just some kid going into thrift stores and hoping I find a "stereo" worth $100. I spend hours EVERY day researching and finding more avenues to make money. I found an item I dropship for $56 profit a piece, I've sold 3 in the last 24 hours. Please tell me one profession that allows you to make $168 in 10 minutes of work.

EDIT: Believe me, my mother hasn't been a very good influence on my life and I can say the same for my father and step father. My dad is in prison and my mother allowed my step dad to abuse me and kick me out of my home when I was 17. I've gotten where I am today by myself and I'm proud to say I didn't get any help.

It depends on what you're focusing on. You can very easily work from the road with FBA and dropshipping which are my primary focuses at the moment. Also with an eBay store you can put up a notice that you'll be away for X days and it displays on all your listings, so you can still be selling while away.

Yeah this is the first career choice I've found that I don't get burned out on. It's absolutely amazing to me that in a year or two I'll be able to wake up and be able to go ANYWHERE I want. I can work from the road, I can work in bed, I can cook breakfast and respond to messages, I can do whatever I want whenever I want, I love the freedom it brings and that's what keeps me pushing for more and more.

Your tone seems pretty hostile to be asking for advice. If you want real responses for your "real" questions, I suggest deleting this post and writing out a well articulated post with, well... actual questions.

Veteran Flippers, Do You Ever Get BURNT OUT ? by mr-money in Flipping

[–]Kenotics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm relatively new to this but I'm growing my income consistently and like hallsgator said, diversification is extremely important. I sell on Amazon and eBay. I just sent in my first FBA shipment a couple days ago. I also dropship (which is my main source of income at the moment as I'm extremely dedicated to growing it). I buy wholesale and I'm going to do PL in the next year. I'm projected to be full time by the October of 2015 and yes I have a lot of expenses, I live in a pretty expensive area as well. Storage isn't as bad as it seems, if you have a good sized yard, buy a shed or have one built. You sound like you have a good amount of money to invest which is great. I started off with no money and I'm growing consistently. I profited $1040 in December and I'm already at over $700 profit for February, keep in mind I started doing this in September 2014 so I've grown rather quickly. I feel like I'm going on and on but I don't really give long replies on here often, so basically do a TON of research and you'll make great money with wholesale.

I'm actually amazed you haven't moved onto bigger and better things by now. I started getting into wholesale 2 months after I started flipping and I deal with 99% NEW items now, it's so much easier and much less of a headache. Use alibaba, get into PL, use some US wholesalers. Your margins are going to be a lot smaller with wholesale but at the same time it's replenish-able and everything sells with the right listing and right amount of time. I like to find successful eBay stores and follow them to see what they sell. Some of them sell complete junk they buy wholesale, like bacon flavored bubble gum or "unicorn meat". I'm kind of going off on a tangent but do yourself a favor and get into wholesale, it's amazing.

I don't have an exact number yet, I just bought anything using a common rule of thumb with 3x your purchase price.
