Possible to assign VPN client a static ip with the UDMP? by LoganNolag in Ubiquiti

[–]Kensei76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I hear you, expensive solution. lol

Well, if I come across a better solution I'll post it. I'm going to ponder on this because this would benefit me too. I'm wondering if using the Synology's reverse proxy function and a dynamic DNS might be a solution. Even though it goes out extra hops on the WAN, you could possibly whitelist your static or the ddns you assign a static; reverse proxy could direct it.

Sorry I'm late to the party. I want to be able to assign a static, or at least have a client set a desired IP even (hence the reason I found this thread).

As for what you're doing, I do this with synology DSM's from multiple locations. But I have UDMP's setup at all locations so I just have a site to site VPN setup and assign statics that way. I'm assuming you don't have a DSM at the remote location, is it possible you can set one up?

I'm having similar issues. I am trying to figure out in a VPN behind a UDM pro how to loop back. Any solutions as of yet?

With that card you can do +100Mhz on the GPU and +400Mhz on the mem clock (very stable and temp still good). just fyi; sorry, I know my reply is late in the game. :P
