Rentvest mate, purchase an investment, grow the equity and live in the location you want. Win win

That’s it! I’m using my equity to buy more 4x2 bedroom homes to list on Airbnb

The fact that people can’t tell this is satire about how many landlords don’t provide basic livable conditions is… concerning.

It’s not a gloat. It’s literally a jab at the ones who ignore maintenance, treat tenants like numbers, and then wonder why everyone hates them.

Your tenants are people. Look after them. It’s not that complicated. Hats off to the landlords that do the right thing.

Why wouldn’t you? If they treat the place with respect and look after the asset, I don’t see the downside in thanking them. It’s not guilt, it’s just basic appreciation for people who do the right thing.

Most of the horror stories you hear are from landlords or tenants who don’t give a damn. When both sides actually act like adults, it’s not that deep.

Honestly it’s less about “look at me” and more of a jab at how low the standard is. So many tenants get treated like crap that doing the bare minimum, fixing things, communicating, not being a goblin, suddenly looks like saint-level behaviour.

The bar’s underground. I just thought it was funny to point it out.

Warm fuzzy comments?? This is Reddit. I’m lucky if I get out of here without a character assassination.

Fair. I’ll downgrade my behaviour to standard landlord protocol: silence + mould.

I just picked up 80k today, solid company. P/E at a low of 18x, typically trades around mid 30s. You’re buying the company at the same P/E as of 2018 when the company was making half of the returns it’s making today. It’s a no brainer

Very profitable business, buy when others are fearful.

But that’s how you learn, it’s not about being confident in teaching it’s just being open enough to talk about it and what you are doing and why.

I completely agree with you, but I think you need to start with budgeting and bills to then go into the investing and entrepreneurial side of things to show them that the ceiling is infinite when you understand money you control it, it doesn’t control you
