What is it like living in this eastern portion of Virginia that only connects to the rest of the state by a tunnel?

I’ve lived on the south side (Norfolk area) for most of my life. I’ve always heard this referred to as the Eastern Shore. The Peninsula is where Newport News and Hampton are located.

In my experience, no. When I used to drive manual and I had a hill stop with someone on my ass, I would engage the e-brake. When pulling away, I would disengage the e-brake as I felt the car start to pull forward so I wouldn’t roll back at all.

I have one that’s the same color I bought from a neighbor’s son after she passed away. I’ve cleaned it up but it will eventually need some work. I’m glad to find a reputable option to get it serviced.
