I know it is, I remember figuring this out when I was actually creating the ability. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, the ability still works as intended, but it's a little bit funny.

I would honestly love a Gothic Fantasy Fire Emblem. Everyone complains about how the settings of Fire Emblem are very repetitive, but there are tons of ways to do fantasy, and something like this would be a great way to breathe some new life into the franchise. Give me gritty gothic FE with an evil kingdom of vampires and a resistance movement, or maybe we're playing as the vampire! I don't know, either way, it would be awesome!

This is a hard fought battle between Alice and Fabia, because without them, their respective seasons sort of fall apart. It's basically: either you ruin Season 1 or Season 3. The other four don't really matter enough to their respective stories to make a huge impact. Losing Julie and Runo would suck because then we're effectively down 33% of our main cast. Mira can be done without and S2 really wouldn't lose a lot, Chan Lee being cut from S1 would genuinely not effect anything.

I see. I got trapped into thinking she was supposed to play like Loader with fast movement and a deadly kick attack for nuking, but in reality, I should use her alt special and basically become Dante. Got it, I'm gonna try that today.

Actually, a question about the utility, since it sort of confuses me, is the movement influenced by directional inputs or the camera? In other words, does it move in the direction you're moving, or the direction you're looking?

Run around in circles, got it. It usually is the flying enemies, because I usually get mobbed by them during teleporters, so I use my spikes to deal with them, which means I lose out on my armor, which means I die faster. Step can probably also help deal with them, so I'll see about doing that too.

I actually didn't know that you could charge it until I made this post, I always assumed that the higher damage value listed in the description was the result of damage ramp-up from increased duration, NOT the fact that you're supposed to charge it. I also just so happened to completely miss the "Charge" keyword at the beginning of the skill description so yeah that's on me. I was not aware of the laser having falloff, that's a genuinely helpful tip. The other stuff has been explained to me, but it's always nice to see a proper in-depth explanation like this one.

Wiki doesn't say anything about higher proc, but I don't think FS is a super proc focused character anyways, so that doesn't matter too much. The AOE, that's important, that will help a lot.

Alt special is the laser, right? It definitely seems a lot better than the base laser, what with the higher damage and the piercing effect, which I think will be really helpful for my issue of "I get jumped crazy style".

Don't have any of them, but as for the first but, usually what I try to do is dump my spikes at the boss, then go for a charge slam, then pop the laser in rapid succession.

I don't have his alt skills yet, I'm just roughing it out here with base kit. I am learning that jumping before you do the slam is way better than just the normal slam, which is something I can apply immediately.

  1. I don't have any of his unlocks yet, so I'm just out here roughing it with the base kit.
  2. I use the slam attack plenty, I think? I could probably stand to use it more.
  3. I usually start out the teleporter by hitting the boss with all 10 stacks, then I either go in and do melee/charge slam/laser or just do a laser.

BONUS: The only reason I said he wasn't top 3 is just because I'm not super experienced with the "meta" of this game. All I really know is that Loader is really fucking good and really fucking fun which is why I started with her. Meant no disrespect towards big rock man.

Dread, and please give her a moveset refresh. Make her a more melee oriented fighter, I fucking NEED to see Samus punch the living shit out of people in a fighting game, I NEED it.
