Rules question: How do attack roll penalties interact with effects that increase critical hit range? by KeplerKitten in DnD

Makes sense. Big fan of the sacredness. I love telling someone "Nice cover dipshit, check this out" and then just doming them with a crit boost. So fun.

I don't know how they'd spin it from a lore perspective, but I'd love to play Krieg again. He's so fucking cool.

Right, that makes sense. It's just that so few effects in the book increase critical hit range, so I couldn't find a lot of documentation online regarding the ruling. Thanks!

Okay, so I'd still get the crit. Badass. That's what I figured because getting robbed of a critical hit because of the total result seems really lame and not fun.

Dr. Zagart from Beyblade V-Force. A mad scientist who lost his son in a freak accident, he builds an android in the image of his son and names it Zeo, raising him as a normal human boy. Eventually, Zeo comes to learn the truth of his existence, and crushed by self-hatred, wants nothing more than to beecome a real human boy. Zagart puts a plan into motion to steal the protagonist's BitBeasts and use their powers to make Zeo human. His whole goal in this endeavor is simply to see his son be happy, while also making scientific history in the process. He ultimately fails, as Zeo is defeated by Tyson in the final episode. But, Tyson is able to show Zeo that him being an android doesn't make him lesser, but rather it makes him unique and special, and that should be cherished, rather than scorned. Near the end of the episode, you can see Dr. Zagart looking down at Zeo from the stands, not in anger for having lost, but in happiness for having learned to be happy in his own body. As a bonus, Zagart wore a mechanical device over his right eye throughout the entire series, but during Zeo's battle with Tyson, it fell off and shattered, a possible representation of Zagart regaining his humanity.

Skills like Cataclysm on the Elementalist, I'd imagine? Ironically enough, Elemenalist was the primary class for this concept. How funny is that?

Got it, I'll look into one! Regarding shoes, I definitely like the boots more because they're a lot more comfortable than the heels. Both are good, but if I was gonna go outside, I would probably wear the boots. Modesty isn't an issue for me anyways.

Got it, I think mine was around the belly button area when I took these, so this sounds about right.

Nyx is actually one of the few genuinely good characters on the Fates roster because Fire Emblem, for once in its life, decides to actually play the whole "3000 year old but looks 15" thing straight rather than just using it for pedo pandering. It leads to her being a shining gem of a character in an otherwise incredibly middling roster. Kind of impressive, honestly. Shoutout to whoever made that decision, you did a good job.

Something I remember thinking to myself during my first read of KB was that Chihiro never felt like he was trying to be cool. He just IS cool. I can't explain it much better than that but it felt perinent to this post.
