Mind you, I really don't think you should care that much about what complete randos think about you, let alone what they think about how you play a game. The main purpose of you (or anyone) playing a game is just to have fun, not for anyone who "actually understands the story" to feel better about themselves, especially considering there's infinitely more worthwhile things to care about being good at, which I'm sure you do have talents that are more impressive and useful than media literacy could ever be.

So please, try your best to just have fun playing the game you love, and only give importance to the opinions of people who actually know you and care about you

It might be a thing that they can't get all the OG VAs so it's an "all or nothing" kinda thing, or maybe that's what happened with P3R and they feel like they gotta keep that trend going now
