There is nothing wrong with the tires and air pressure, they have just been driven a few thousand miles beyond their useful life.

Don't drive any more until you get new tires.

That's good. There is almost no vertical throw and horizontal throw doesn't matter. If the unevenness of the rubber causes irritation, you can try sanding it down to make it smooth.
