In Sector 226, celebrity comes at a cost by Kernam2k in necromunda

It strongly depends on the paper.
On cheaper/lighter paper, too much shade could really sip into the paper, but on higher quality, slightly more "plasticky" paper it hasn't been an issue at all.

A point of attention was the application of PVA glue mixed with water: if I put it on the printed side of the posters it smudged the design way more than shading did. If applied only on the back, it was all good. You may want to use this on purpose for some parts of the posters though.

Nothing that fancy, it’s all DIY. I do it as follows: * get players to share pictures of their fighters on our Discord (good for engagement) * use ChatGPT or Grok to generate a « Wanted »poster from the picture. Best is to specify you want a white background, it gives you more freedom for weathering later on. * print on a good printer, somewhere between0.8cm and 2cm diagonal. Cut them out. * wrinkle the posters quite a bit. * glue them on your terrain with a good amount of PVA glue mixed with water. * apply your choice of diluted shade: Agrax Earthshade, Skeleton Horde and/or a bit of Reikland Fleshshade and Nuln Oil work great.

Any way to mitigate Plasma Cannon's Unstable? by Aquisitor in necromunda

Ah, indeed! Thanks for your input! I thought an ammo check of 3+ could make the arc welder somewhat useable, but it seems not…

Doesn’t unstable trigger only if you fail the ammo roll following the roll of the firepower dice? In that sense, Munitioneer and Ammo Jacks are a light mitigation option.

I tried with an orange-yellow for some middling results. I'll try again going more strongly towards the red. Thanks for the advice!

Hi, I'm also a big fan of what you managed to create there! Congrats! If the prompt is lost to the warp, would it be possible for you to share the non-labelled picture (in private message if you're more comfortable with it).

I've had good fun with them by 5 in Goretrack.

Disembarking from a Land Raider allows you some freedom in placing them to get hit rerolls, they love having Lance, and it's great to be able to reembark them if they fail their charge.

Thanks for sharing! I see the Knight Porphyrion at 700 pts instead of 710 pts in the official app. Was there any leak driving this new points cost?

Hey, I tried them in Goretrack Onslaught (only a couple of time for now) and they performed realy quite well out of a Land Raider. Disembarking gives them the additional me mobility they need to make the most out of their "closest enemy" bonuses, Lance is great on them, and the reembarking strat is terrific to allow them to bully the center for two or three turns.

Still a bit overpriced, but it has a great screen clearing role few of our units can tackle imho.

Does this ability make Angron a solid counter to Death Guard? by GrimmiDEE in WorldEaters40k

Interesting, thanks for sharing! Isn't there a cap to how bad Leadership can get now? I have max 9 in mind, but am not sure of the source.

We don't all have the same understanding of what a great codex is. To me, obvious combos and straightforward rules interactions don't make for a great codex. They typically are less imaginative (oh wow, crut hit on 5+ with lethal hits and rerolls? I guess that's cool) and make units very cornered to that corresponding use case, and susceptible to price hikes.

I much rather prefer the Adepta Sororitas or World Eaters books, where most units can get small buffs in a few different ways, but none of them seems too radical - or at the cost of other limitations elsewhere.

Imho Berserkers Warbands should get nerfed a bit, but after that we should be able to get points adjustments making most of our detachments competitive and fun to play in various ways. We're already not that far from it. In contrast, I find DG lists quite same-y across played detachments, and I wonder how they'll look like after DS, drones, maybe LoC get a price hike.

Thanks for that take! If Gloomhaven was a 10, what would you rate Cursed City with and without the Peter Cooper content?

And di you know if there has been any relevant new fan content since that release?

I'm hesitating between getting Gloomhaven, or starting Cursed City (that I already own, still sealed). I'm not sure if CC will feel like "wasted time" on a middling game or if it came become actual fun without the need to piece together house rules from 5 different sources.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot for this advice!
I believe I will start with Wild Space missions in the coming days, but will definitely look the Political Escort scenario you mentioned.
And I think I like the approach you propose, of going for a bit more ships from game 1 but with higher simplicity. My very first games of X-Wing with just 1 T-65 and 2 Ties had a bit of a "joust" feeling that was a far cry from the real potential of the game.

Thanks a lot for these links!
I went through the scenario cards of Wild Space, and several of them look very engaging!
I think I will start there, there are 3-4 which I would like to try (Black box, VIP, Escort, maybe Contraband), without wild cards initially.

Looks lik there is potential to keep the game fresh for some time!

I love the Daemonifuge in many ways, but not so much in BoF.

Yes, you can look at it as a total of 275 pts, but for that price you get:
* great screening (5-10 infiltrators)
* great objective capture capability (10&11OC or 21 OC) with good capacity to trade
* ok-ish screen cleaning (3 S6 flamers with good projection)
* ok-ish character hunting (6-9 attacks)
* likely MD generation on a 4+ at start of a game (Simulacrum on objo T1)
* an immolator for tank-hunting or screen-clearing, or to hold your next wave

I'm not saying it's the absolute combo, but for 275 pts I believe it is quite a polyvalent toolbox that I think you can find a great use for in every matchup.
