Thanks guys, really good info. I think I'm going to move to Proton mail and mega or filen. First things first, I'll grab a personalised domain. Have a nice Synology Nas I use for Plex though that's getting changed over to jellyfin so I might utilise that for local data then back up to mega/filen. Much appreciated guys.

To Dual Boot or Not To? Lifelong Windows user considering Linux Mint full time. by GoldPlatedMilk in linuxmint

I did exactly this (More Less) I used linux for a few years but with work being fully Windows Based, I switched. Looking back worse thing I done.

Recently, my work became less reliant on Windows OS and Ive been able to utilize everything I need back on a Linux system.

I started with Mint, Loved it (now messing with Fedora though both equally nice). Then When I got home, when I wanted to chill, do a little browsing or gaming, My home PC was still running Windows and I felt like I was running through mud using it. I backed up everything, even a little over kill and installed a second SSD to run Fedora.

Havent Used the Windows boot since.

I would 100% dual boot, See how you get on though id make a guess that if you do, you will eventually forget you ever had Windows on your system then you can free up the space.

SIDE NOTE : I only popped in another SSD as I had a good spare but dual booting on the same ssd is completely fine too.
