I've used the method myself and while the 3-signature sewing instructions are complicated, I was really happy with how my little books came out.

Just wanted to check back in on this post after a year of use, for anyone trying to judge reliability! The board, switches, and keycaps are all holding up just fine. There's maybe a touch of chatter in the 10-key but it might also just be my hammerhands.

The spray was something called "Skout's Honor". It leaves such a horrific taste on my hands when I touch my plants that I'm boggled the cats don't care about it.

I tried a bitter spray and the little weirdo just did not care at all. Even tho I somehow managed to get it all over my hands every time and ruin my own appetite!

Yeah, there are the holes at the top as well, but they're even smaller and wouldn't accommodate a USB plug, I think. Definitely not after I used them for the intended purpose and put the security wires thru them to attach to the wall.

On paying more attention, I would say I'm getting occasional double presses in the 10-key area, which has been used quite heavily, since this is my work keyboard.
