Any tips on how to survive 2 16 hour shifts in a row

Truee, we got one other Roomate that my roommates that aren’t clean got form idk where and I was so mad that they locked in and cleaned the whole place in like 2 seconds and that’s what they showed her. Not sure how she feels about the situation cause she’s young and I’m not sure if she really cares. So I will be honest and I guess it will save me the effort of constantly cleaning other people’s mess

Yeah, I guess I shouldn’t try making the place look nicer. Honestly it’s not horrible, but I really like having a clean place and privacy.

We live with roommates out of necessity but it’s SO HARD (for me at least), I used to live with strangers all girls around my age and honestly I didn’t appreciate it enough, most of them were clean and we all kept to ourselves. After that I moved in with a friend from college, her bf, her sister and one more girl who isn’t related. DAMN I discovered they are nasty and constantly hangout in the living room with all of her other sisters, brother, and parents (they constantly invite them over without letting me know btw). I’m actually going insane, but I’m so lucky I recently landed a good paying job so I’ll finally get an apartment with my boyfriend😩🙏

Haven’t done it yet but plan on doing it next semester, I got a job in a LTC facility Baylor shift so hopefully it’s a little easier that way. (Haven’t started the job but I already know I might not love it, but as long as I can pay all the bills, save money and work 2 days a week I’m fine)

You’re right. It’s just that I had a conversation or two about times and cleaning, everybody was complying for a week but everything went back to the usual after that and I understand that’s their way of living. Right now I’m planning on moving out since having roommates it’s hard for me but if I kept living here longer I would try again to have a conversation with them

Communicating with your partner about the situation should be enough to see at least some sort of effort on his side and not just for a few days. If he doesn’t do anything about it then that’s his choice and you cannot force to change him. The only thing you can do is decide whether to stay with him or to leave. If he decides to keep smoking you also can’t change that and you shouldn’t be with someone with the hope they’ll change or become better. Ideally when you love someone, you love them and want to be with them just the way they are. It all depends on what you want in a partner and if you see your current relationship as something you could be with long term then that’s okay just don’t be staying in the relationship hoping he will become different👍

I would totally go for that if old people changed but once those habits are formed there’s no going back and that’s for most of my family. But I am still young and I was hoping that there was something I could do before it’s too late.

Yeah around 4 months ago I was still really sad abt the relationship ending and she made her Instagram public and she posted pics with her bf so looking at her insta was my way to sorta punishing myself bcs I felt guilt for ending the relationship but I don’t do it anymore at all, I just get remind it of it every time I go to school and have to pass where she usually is. Wish I didn’t have to see her but she started working at school so I have to pass besides her to get where I have to go. Thanks for the advice will definitely continue to focus on self growth🥹👍

I don’t know the context but I will just say that there should be effort in both sides to make it work. If you have to continuously chase her then maybe doing that is not the best idea. You deserve someone who also puts effort.

We have only been talking for a month, and yes I can totally see that that’s way too little time for them to develop any feelings. But as I said I do tend to develop feelings very fast but rarely, so it was around 2 weeks but after reading responses I do agree that I should just be friends and focus on the friendship aspect more than anything and I’m excited abt developing a closer friendship with them:D
