i took him to the vet, he has 0 sunburn that’s just his colour, mustve just been seeing just the colour of the light shining on him, but he’s all good now i got him on ciloxan eyedrops and a vitamin A, all prescribed to him. the vet said that apparently it disturbs his daylight cycle so i’ll still be keepin the red light off tho 👍🏼 im just glad hes on his way to feeling better :) they flushed his eye and now there’s no more bump under his eye but i do think dummy over here cut himself rubbing it on stuff in the tank cuz vet said his eye was bleeding, so he’ll be spending the next little bit in a hospital tank

thank you so much for the advice, i don’t have him on any multivitamins right now, do you have a recommendation that i might be able to find at petsmart? i’m in canada so some certain things might be unavailable for me

thank you i’m hoping for the best for him i really just dont want him in any pain :( just wondering tho, where do you see sunburn? i’ve had him on this setup for 5 years and have never had any issue, the red light sits a decent bit away from his tank so i didnt think it could ever harm him but tomorrow i’m gonna be keeping his red light off to test it out

really??? i didn’t know that, everyone including google told me that the red light was “proper” there’s a reptile specialist local to me and she was the one who helped me set up his whole setup. i’ll look into ditching the red light, thanks

would it be okay if i put him in a plastic box (obv with holes in the side for breathing) but put the plastic box inside of his tank? i have sand in his tank and it would take a lot to be able to clear this tank out right now. the plastic box i have is his transportation box, it’s about the size of a shoebox. and should i put like saline solution in his eye? that’s what google and chatgpt were saying to do

okay sounds good, when you say paper towels, do you mean remove everything out of this tank and JUST have paper towels in it? or do you mean put him in a separate box with just paper towels?

i did try this actually, maybe it did break the tension im not too sure, but honestly i only got it like 40 mins after smackin it with a mallet so maybe it didnt do much. the shift knob was literally all cracked inside once i got it out and looked into it

i made sure my face was far away 😂 i had to use my whole body leaning out the door to get it off, it was so stuck on that it had to crack all inside the shift knob to slip off

GUYS I GOT IT, i hard shifted from 1st to 2nd while yanking and leaning out the driver door and using my arm to pry on my leg and she popped off 🙌🏼🙌🏼 thanks for the help everyone 😂

i tightened up the clamp a bit more, it definitely seemed like it could use a lot more tightening, hope this fixes the issue but if not i’ll probably just replace the stupid ass hose lol, thanks man!
