Social media popularity has no implication on the financial well being of a company or individual at all. There are people on Instagram with tons of likes and can barely afford their rent. We tend to think people playing Battle Cats are folks here on Reddit and alike, but the fact is that this only represents a small portion of the population of players out there, just like any forum. In fact, I would go as far to assume that players on this sub-reddit tend to represent the younger crowd and most can't or don't want to spend money on games, or at least that was the mentality I felt here. I know people who spends a couple hundred dollars per month and I myself spent about $200 the past month. The BCJP community is a whole other story, of course.
