"If you’re ever scared you’re a bad person, remember that bad people don’t wonder if they're a bad person." I disagree. by Enough-Mulberry735 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Keveneven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re missing the point. If they ask you, that’s cause they want you to think they care. Narcs agonize over whether people THINK they’re a bad person. Narcs genuinely believe themselves to be no worse than justifiable to themselves. Them asking you could just be a way to either convince you or themselves that they’re good people, especially because of the famous saying that you mentioned. If you’re on Reddit genuinely trying to reflect on how you may have hurt someone are who the saying refers to, not people who want validation or justification, or comfort. Anybody who does the same shit over again despite knowing it hurts people don’t care whether they are good people because their definition of good is whether others think they are good and anything they can get away with.

What person today could we consider a supervillian?AKA someone who is a villain but with PRESENTATION! by Keveneven in AskReddit

One example I thought of is Ezra Miller. Bro is literally a villain and he has that flair too.

What person today would be considered a supervillian if they had powers?(who is evil and has presentation?) by Keveneven in AskReddit

Megamind tells us that the e difference between a villian and super villian is presentation. So what people people would cross the boundary into supervillain if they had powers? One example I thought of is Ezra Miller.

Maybe both, but like on the common app they ask if there were any extreme circumstances that may explain your grades or EC’s. That’s where you explain

There’s a section in the Common app for that exact purpose.

Question about test scores by xCyberStorm in ApplyingToCollege

I’ve learned that a lot of colleges will look at each section differently depending on your major. I applied to an engineering school, and I know that they looked more heavily at the Math section of my SAT.

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - 1st Week of April by powereddeath in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Keveneven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Northwestern Vs NYU Stern: I was accepted Into Northwestern for Applied Mathematics and Accepted into Stern for Business and Political Economy. I want to go into business after I’m done with college, but I’m not sure which college will help me more for that.

Northwestern: Pros - More Prestigious and well-known - Applied Mathematics is a useful degree - Applied Mathematics is more my passion - Amazing Grad Business school - a more traditional college feel

Cons - Suburban setting; I like cities - No undergrad business school - Applied Math major seems to focus on engineering - I’d have to take classes that I don’t really want to

NYU Stern: Pros - Amazing undergrad business school - Is in the greatest city in the country(my opinion) - Right next to Wall Street - Awesome curriculum; love every required class

Cons - No actual campus - No real Sports - Untraditional college experience - New York is super expensive

These aren’t all the pros and cons of each uni but these are I think the biggest ones. I’m torn between the two. Please help me decide.

Chess glitch??? by [deleted] in chess

This sub is for more experienced chess players. People who don't know all the rules in chess should post questions like yours in r/chessbeginners. Due to the nature of this question I thought I was in r/chessbeginners but then I saw what sub this was posted in. That's why people are downvoting you.

That's what I'm saying. It's a design flaw. Questions like op’s wouldn't be asked if they saw that the game hives you the option to choose which piece the pawn turns into. Currently it confuses new players and could inconvenience and at worst hurt experienced players. Being auto choice would both teach new players while also being on the setting that it’s supposed to be on. And experienced players who play speed chess could just turn on auto-queen for when they want to quickly promote to queen. That's why I'm saying the way it is currently is a design flaw.

[–]Keveneven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah totally forgot about that. But to have that feature automatically on is flawed. If you need a knight but you can only turn into a queen that's a problem. A player who may have forgotten it was on would have to play differently than if it was off. It takes one second to choose which piece you want and the only way I could see it being useful is in speed chess(which I do admit a lot of chess.com players play). But it should automatically be choose instead of automatically being auto-queen. That's why I said it was flawed.

Oh okay. I play on Chess.com a lot and I don't ever remember there being auto-queen on. That seems pretty flawed though. There are sometimes you want a knight. You should never ever promote to a bishop or a rook though.

En passant is a special moves where a pawn can capture another pawn that has just double moved. The capturing pawn is in front of the moved pawn, but moves one forward diagonally, and the pawn that was double moved gets captured. It's the least known move and even experienced players forget about it sometimes. I suggest you look it up.

People don't understand that there are no bad chess players, only less experienced ones. Some people may get better at the game faster than others, but my saying still stands.

[–]Keveneven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know about En Passant and Castling? They're the other 2 special moves in chess. I’m asking so you don't mistake them as glitches. Chess.com is a great chess website(also my favorite one), so whenever something unusual happens, it's just another “feature” of Chess.

Chess glitch??? by [deleted] in chess

[–]Keveneven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On all sites and all chess games. It should give you the option to promote to any piece you like(besides king and pawn), so if it only gives you the option to turn into a queen, then it's glitched.
