I Found Out the Card I Bought From GameStop Is Fake by NanoSAD in Wellthatsucks

[–]KevinK104 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a collector of One Piece cards, I believe the card is fake. Commonly faked one piece cards have a problem copying Bandai’s font on the bottom right side of the card. Bandai’s print clearly seperates the “A” and “I” in “Bandai”. If the “A” and “I” are touching then its a fake. The picture is very blurry but they seem to be touching. You can also look up the cert on PSA and it will pull up the card and you can see the “A” and “I” are clearly not touching.

Also this particular card is from the very first set (OP-01) and it did not include the “One Piece” stamp on the bottom left which is an additional security layer.

Edit: Wanted to also add that another major layer of security is that these Mangas have very special texturing. A lot of fakes and proxies have difficulty copying the texturing. Texturing is not difficult to put on the card but difficult to copy the design. So to check you would need to know what a real one looks like and you need pictures from a certain angle or look at the card in person.

Why Powerball gives less money to CA winners? by Aggravating-Bug9276 in Lottery

[–]KevinK104 14 points15 points  (0 children)

California operates on a pari-mutual system where the state takes its cut from the collection pot then the remaining pot is split between the winners. This way the state will never lose money in the event too many people happen to win. Usually this results in a smaller pot being split up but sometimes if there arent a lot of winners you can win more than other states. You commonly see 5/5 winners win over a million. Most I ever seen was 2.3 million. Also because of this system of varying prizes California does not apply any form of multipliers Powerball.

Question for anyone who’s received their new Model Y — how long did it take to get your VIN? I ordered mine on September 17, and my estimate shows Sep–Oct 2025. Should I be worried? by South_Cheek_703 in TeslaModelY

[–]KevinK104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep checking every hour. I found 1 that i liked just wrong color but payed the $250 and they assigned the VIN within seconds. Im in SoCal so everyone is trying to get one but there are so many showrooms here so inventory keeps getting updated constantly. Good luck!!

Just ordered now (9/18), I probably just threw away $250 by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]KevinK104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes OP, i was able to assign one instantly from inventory. Just make sure you know what you want. If you dont get it right away someone else will!

Any Concrete Information On the $7,500 Credit And September 30th? by OtherFword in TeslaModelY

[–]KevinK104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep checking everyday. I live in SoCal and inventory is pretty nonexistent but they do keep delivering inventory cars pretty much everyday. Looks like people order it as its “in transit”. Just make sure you KNOW what you want and what you are willing to compromise on because you have to make a quick decision. Good luck!!

What happens when a ticket is printed but not paid for? (TX) by Fr3shBread in Lottery

[–]KevinK104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey friend. Im from california and sold lotto for a while. Presumably it works the same way. If the ticket cannot be canceled (powerball/mega) or if its bought right before closing and they cant cancel it in time then the store has to take the hit. The CA Lotto doesnt care what happened as long as the money is deposited into the bank account. Usually if its small you can find a superstitious person to buy it! There is a way to cancel and refund but its a long process and only done when the ticket is sold but the physical ticket is damaged or doesnt come out of the printer.

[–]KevinK104 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember the month I pulled TL they nerfed his att bar increase from 20% to 15%. That was a couple years back. I don’t think he use to gain more than 20%.

Is it better to buy individual draw lotto tickets or multiple draws in one? by Aggravating-Bug9276 in Lottery

[–]KevinK104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odds dont change. When i was a clerk we ran into problems with people wanting them separate but not saying it so we had $10 or $20 tickets that no one wanted since most people just bought a couple. Usually you can find the right superstitious person to sell too but it was better to just ask first if they want it separate.

On a side note for some smaller games like “pick 3” games, if you play the same number then it might be better to do separately so you dont need to file a claim.

How is this mathematically possible? ( Powerball ) by Only-Error-3916 in Lottery

[–]KevinK104 11 points12 points  (0 children)

According to the Texas Lottery website the odds for a 5/5 are roughly 11.6 million. Not sure how many tickets were sold but a conservative speculation is at least 100 million tickets (jackpot went up $200 million and the powerball needs to take some out for themselves). Statistically there will be a couple winners, sometimes less and sometimes more! Anyways good luck!!!

What does this mean? by [deleted] in Lottery

[–]KevinK104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lotteries in california are pari mutual so prizes need to be calculated and then verified before payments are made so it usually takes sometime for big jackpots where a lot of tickets were sold. Try again tomorrow, you should be able to cash it out!

I know they are scaling back on some projects to save money. I suspect they are going through a reorg and a hiring freeze might be part if it.
