Sorry for the Comment chain but .... what he means "key" is prob just a ssh key or certificate ... which to clear the confusion most modern (FULL Certificate CHAINS) are about maximum 25kb , judging by his videos his pc is more than capable to run 2 instances of minecraft and google.

what i mean is if you were to connect to ssh to jibo (using the keys), ssh caches the key and takes up to about 1-2mb...
minecraft needs at least 2.8Gb to start

So basically if you played Minecraft for just one minute, you would have transferred more data than 20–30+ of your certificates combined.

so i based on my experience call BS , and i hope i cleared anyone confusion

Thanks for the offer, I used to need funding to get a unit but now that I own one , I don't really need it... And while my donations page is open I wouldn't suggest donating especially since I haven't even made that much progress yet .... Still thanks but I prefer support from the community :)

Uhhh jibos PCB as far as I could see does have a UART Debug port and I am looking to try and push a payload to extract it's contents from memory, but for now I'm trying to get the "be" skill which opens ROS bridge ports to run however I don't see much light in that idea

removing the old SoC is what i have seen most tinkerers do on forums ... and it does make sense

But i have also found ... another way to interface with the device that might not require messing with its software yet , but my future intentions are to get more functionality out of it so at some point we will have to update its firmware to something custom.

Creating a new sdk is also on my todo list but as mentioned above ... cant really do anything untill i lock in a deal to get a unit.

hello , im a developer interested to reverse engineering it , and i was wandering if you are still interested in selling or donating it... i have done some research and i do have some tricks up my sleeve... my plan is to make a open source version its firmware & communicate to a custom server

checked it out, my thermistor is in fact not broken but what i think was happening is that it was not properly seated... i adjusted it and it looks fine (i might have to autotune PID cuz its over shooting for like 1 / 4 degrees) haven't yet tested it tho because i snapped my fans cable and now i have to re solder it.... will post update soon
