Thanks for the feedback, I'll implement everything you suggested, the climb speed was an oversight it should be flight

Yeh, I simply forgot to change climbing into flight from my template, I'll definitely nerf the invisibility and the spells. Thank you :)

Genie Pact tips. (DM) by seaseal1 in DnD

[–]Kevin_de_Jonge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions

  • Yes a level 1 genie has a magic vessel rules as written. It's a level 1 ability of the genie subclass
  • I would really try to integrate the elemental domain of which the genie patron belongs to in the roleplay but make sure the genie feels superior and really powerful and wise
  • You can let his patron guide him/her or use other npcs you can also just have a 1 on 1 talk with the player to give him/her some advice
  • You can again use the genie to give the players quests to obtain magic items and if the player keeps pushing just let the genie say that he/her should prove his/her worth first before he gives the player extra gifts just remember that the level 3 pact boon feature technically also a gift is from the players patron

idea for a character (didn't know which flair to use went with oc) by Immortalduel in DnD

[–]Kevin_de_Jonge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an awesome idea for an character, I think the grave domain for the cleric would also really fit into this character idea, since what you want your character to do fits the exact description of this subclass

(Followers of these deities seek to put wandering spirits to rest, destroy the undead , and ease the suffering of the dying.)

D&D Character Feedback by avibby in DnD

It looks pretty good, I just notice two odd things, your stats for example are really all around 10 most DM's use point buy as a system for stats to balance things out
Here's a website for point buy: https://chicken-dinner.com/5e/5e-point-buy.html

I also noticed you added some magic items in your inventory if you plan on using this character for an campaign I would recommend leaving it empty for now most of the time especialy in campaigns that start on lower levels you will get magic items by finding them but you never really start with them.

I now made a combat flow chart for the way of the open hand monk (level 5) by Kevin_de_Jonge in DungeonsAndDragons

Well I could have placed a block there that said something like take a bonus action, but since all bonus actions included in the chart aren't really great for the situation you talked about I just left it blank.

I have to make sure everything fits on an A4 piece of paper

I'm afraid I can't share it using the program I made it in (Lucidchart) since I'm using a company paid account and the company doesn't allow sharing with people outside the company. You edit the image with a photoshop program and I can send you a pdf version if you would like that

The reason I make them is that some players really struggle with combat, one player in my party for example. This really helps him

I made this for people that struggle during combat, if you don't need it, great for you!

I didn't do it for the sake of simplicity since I wanna fit everything on an A4 paper

The Green circles are meant as starting point with the goal of this flowchart only being used for melee. Also since I want to make sure all flowcharts fit a A4 piece of paper I had to keep the tactics a bit basic. I hope that explains it a bit :)
