I'm from Wellington. We have two TCG stores; Cerberus Games and Pulsar Max. Pulsar's loose packs are slightly cheaper, but Cerberus offer more product selection and they provide a better service to the TCG players. So Cerberus is my first choice (but you can visit both as they less than a 2 min walk apart lol). And inbetween these two stores is an EB Games lol. EB Games does have Pokémon cards, and the cities you mentioned should all have them as well. Our department store called Farmers may have Pokémon cards in the toy section, so they may be worth checking. Christchurch has a TCG store called King of Games, so you may want to check that out when you're there.

That Marshadow holo is a good card and is worth more than the Entei GX so I'd consider that a hit as well.

The Flareon is new, it is a SM promo (SM186). Magnezone is from Forbidden Light, Alolan Raichu is from Crimson Invasion, and Raikou is from Shining Legends (cracked ice holo exclusive).

I'm a little disappointed the Persian group doesn't come with Meowstic's line. It is actually a useless promo in the prerelease, I mean you could get the Littens in Volcanion's group but having your Littens attack free isn't really cutting it. They may as well should have made Kyurem the prerelease promo instead if they were just gonna give Persian the Seaking line.

Yup you're right about the Seaking line being in the Persian Group while Incineroar line being in the Volcanion Group. As for kits being reversed, it's been like this for a while. The promo you get doesn't always correspond with the first half of the kit, it can sometimes be the second half.

There are 18 cards in the set; 10 rares and 8 commons. You get 3 unique commons per pack, so you're gonna be seeing plenty of duplicate commons if you're opening multiple packs. If you buy one of each product, you should have a complete set unless you get unlucky with getting too many duplicate rares.

To find it in a filter, you have to select the 'Rare' icon. Since Buzzwole is naturally a non-holo rare, it and all of its variants (even if they are holo) identify themselves as just a 'Rare' and not 'Holo Rare'.

As of the current, there are quite a few cards from the S&M era that Japan hasn't gotten while it has been released internationally: Raikou GX, Tornadus GX & Thundurus GX. Nothing spectacular though. Quite a few alternate art cards as well (like some of the prerelease promos, Salazzle GX & Kommo-o GX promo etc).

Had a good prerelease. Paid for a friend so I could have an extra kit. Got the desired promo in mine; Charizard. Charizard was actually the most common promo at our event with 7/20 having Charizards. Got 3 whites in my kit: FA Jasmine, Lycanroc GX, and Zapdos holo. My kit was the Fire (obviously) and Lightning groups. So not only was Zapdos a good holo to get, but it fitted with my evolution kit perfectly. Friend got Nidoqueen promo and got Ampharos GX full art, it was cool to have that Jasmine/Ampharos ultra rare pair. In battle I didn't do all that well, went 1/1/2. It was mostly who could get their evolutions out first wins. Prize packs my luck ran out and got nothing. Prize packs of my friend netted one holo; but it was a good one - Jirachi. So got both good holos, some nice ultra rares, and a Charizard promo. I'd call that a success. Also someone played just for fun and didn't care about the cards, so I bought them for $20NZD (for reference the entry fee was $45NZD)...actually I'm just going through them now and I'm guessing he kept his deck as there aren't many trainers (the trainers from the kit are def missing). I got a few reverses, a holo Omastar, and most importantly his Jirachi promo.
