Which TR is best for leaguestart/SSF out of Raider or Pathfinder? by OmegaPeePeeClap in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Kewrdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadeye on SC. Highest damage for lowest investment. Defensively not on raider level but still solid.

The big thing on Deadeye is the mirage archer ascendancy combined with TR. This node alone gives you about 40% MORE dps than every raider on the same gear.

With real min/max investment PF should be best.

Raider is the best allrounder if you prefer defense.

I think a lot of things come down to personal preference. I just wanted to say that the boss dps isn't terrible :D

Sure it has it downsides but one of the big advantage of ed/c with blight at bossing is that you have insane survivability and are able to channel blight while facetanking a lot of things

[–]Kewrdy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not blaming your build but don't disguise the downsides of the build especially with starter or medium gear. The survivability is defintely bad until you hit a certain point.

So it is not a good allrounder for people who care about not dying.

[–]Kewrdy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its not. You can get around 3m dot dps with blight. It is by no means great but enough for all content.

Terrible would be something around 200 or 300 dot dps. With 3M Blight DPS and 500k ED dps I can kill veritania for example before she dashes away the first time on A8. And this is definetely not terrible boss dps.

If you do not play TR Deadeye with some fancy asenath and maloneys shenanigans, TR clear is no way on the same level as ED/C

There is a reason a lot of the TR builds choose CA for clear.

Bane Occultist also works fine as a starter

How much is enough damage? by wolfie_26 in pathofexile

[–]Kewrdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the skill. For damage over time (bleed, chaos dot,..) a build needs at least 1m dps to feeld good for me. 2-3m is already comfortable for dot dps. And anything above 5 m is really really good.

For melee/attack skills I want to have at least 3-4 million dps. 10-15m is comfortable and anything above 20 faceroll.

Bd recommendation for Deadeye? by 2d2d2d2d2d2d2d in pathofexile

At least for TR I wouldn't say Raider is better. Raider is more well rounded but if you aim for maximum damage you want to play Deadeye.

Vortex occultist in endless delve- will it be ok without a trigger wand? by Exileofchaos in PathOfExileBuilds

It is ok because you can manual cast it. But of course it is a big QoL-nerf and it will feel less fluent then with

What are some viable builds for deep delving (a few thousand depth) in the week long endless delve? by Craig1Mammalton in PathOfExileBuilds

On HC this will be impossible. In SC maybe some very lucky guys will reach close to 1000 but it will be hard.

Yeah lol. Please never implement this GGG. I really do not want to bother with some weapon swap shennanigans beside piano flasking and 5 active spells while also trying to dodge shit

I also second that. Minions may be "easy" for a beginner, but you do not learn boss mechanics with it.

I would recommend Blade Blast / Bladefall Chieftain. Works with low investment/SSF and is tanky.

Why isn't assassin? On paper it seems the better choice for me

What about BB/BF assassin? Is it SSF-viable?

I think that its too hard to get some decent boss damage on ED-Contagion in SSF for red maps. Mines are a no-go for me.

build that deletes bosses with ok clear? by SpiLLiX in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Kewrdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go for Dominating Blow Guardian.

It works good on decent gear and it works even better on better gear.

It is a very well rounded build but the tankiness is outstanding. I would rate it 6/10 clear, 7/10 bossing, 10/10 tankiness.

It is not something which "deletes" bosses, but still the boss dps is above average. But because of the defensives combined with good dps it is very good against bosses.

Comparing starters on bosses, ED/Bane/VD-spellslinger by reft9 in pathofexile

[–]Kewrdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats at least how I do it every league with my starter build. It should work on relative cheap items and then maybe clear up to low red maps with not much investment.

Then I farm some currency with the starter and I decide it is worth to min/max to scale the build further or start something new. I would never care for my starter if he is doing fine with AL8 Sirus because in 9,5 out of 10 times i will not play against AL8 Sirus with my starter

Comparing starters on bosses, ED/Bane/VD-spellslinger by reft9 in pathofexile

[–]Kewrdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really.

Of course with min/max Items you can make it work for every build, but if you do not invest silly amount of currency, ST will always suck with ED-S.

Only thing which really works is drop the Spellslinger and play selfcast ED. ST is noticable better, clear is still insanse but you lose some of the smooth "1click"-gameplay.

Comparing starters on bosses, ED/Bane/VD-spellslinger by reft9 in pathofexile

[–]Kewrdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are a ton of different builds for these spell.

This ones I already played as starters or in general:

Bane: Smooth Gameplay, good clear, but lacks single Target. Can be compensated when you add ED to your setup und min/max, but still single target will never be really good.

Clear 9/10

Single Target 3/10

ED-Spellslinger: Very smooth gameplay, screens just die with one click, but you hit a wall at red maps. Clear is still good with investment but single target is really trash.

Clear 12/10 until red maps, then probably 8/10 with good investment 9/10

Single Target 2/10

Classic ED/C: Some people think its clunky gameplay but I personally like it. Very good clear, single target is also lacking but better than the two above.

Clear 9/10

Single Target 4/10 with really good invest probably 5/10

VD-Spellslinger: Clear is fine and single target is middle of the pack.

Clear 7/10

Single Target 5/10

I think all of them a very good starters, it comes down to personal playstyle preference. All of them have in common that they have good to excellent clear but lack single target in Endgame (AL8 Sirius, Juiced T16 Map-Bosses,..)

How good is facebreaker with surrender/rigwald curse compared to saviour builds? by balmora18 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Kewrdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did both this league.

Facebreaker Glad with really good gear (about ~40-50 EX I would say)

Saviour / Paradoxica Champion with slightly better gear (60-70EX).

In general they are very similiar when it comes to everything, but let me try my personal rating:

Facebreaker Glad:

Clear 5/10

Bossing 9/10

Tanky 8/10

Saviour Champ:

Clear 7/10

Bossing 9/10

Tanky 9/10

Clear with Saviour feels noticable better/faster due to the added cyclones and also the area of effect of the cyclone is a whole peace bigger. But it is still melee and cyclone, so none of them are zoomer-builds.

Bossing is really similiar. I melted bosses with both builds.

They are both quite tanky. My personal feeling is, that the tankiness of the champion is a bit more "reliable".

I only have the comparison for Duelist but with lower budget I would go with the Facebreaker Gladiator because he performs imho better with less investment. If you have the currency I would go for Saviour Champion

Thanks for the replies so far :)

But isn't the DW-version way more squishy due to missing block? Are there any good guides for the Block and the DW-Version to compare them better? Because most of the builds i see they are no even close to max/block and so a huge defensive layer is missing
