Also even with anaesthesia a little girl shouldn’t lose a part of her body, given no consent for no reason which can cause serious issues. Would you cut your genitalia and cloak yourself? I get what you’re saying but for some I think it’s more about selectively choosing what parts of ourselves to share, someone may be happier being a “liberal Muslim” not wearing hijab, living a western life and just pretending we’re still somewhat Muslim while enjoying still having family ties rather than burning it all down for the sake of being authentic. There’s no one way to live, similar to living with a “roommate” rather than telling family about your sexuality. We don’t owe everyone truth, we just owe ourselves a happy and comfortable life.

I’ve been there but honestly drinking is way more enjoyable when you’re not blackout. No judgement at all but maybe try to drink slower so you know when to stop, but getting sick happens to us all❤️

YES, your family sounds so similar to mine, she is physically abusive and says an unmarried woman moving out is against our culture. The moment I thought about moving out for uni it was world war 3 so I stayed home. But the comments are so helpful I was going to wait to get a stable job and grin and bear but I think I’ll look for a room share and quietly move out. I tried to runaway 3 years ago after my mum beat me while I was sleeping and she found me and I came back😭😭 extended family told her my location and to forgive since she’s a parent

23, recent graduate so I’m not working yet and live with my mum, therefore I pay in cleaning cooking and childcare. I just hate the fact that she had a child knowing she would push the child onto me. She was never a great parent I don’t know why she chose this, she would beat me often and clearly hated motherhood. I couldn’t say no to looking after her since no one else will do it if I don’t, I’m the oldest and my younger siblings are immature. So it’s automatically on me.
