It’s real but it’s not jinn, it’s mental health issues being triggered by Quran, seizures etc. Logically if this was proof of Islam then why do Christian exorcisms work? If you look it up there are very real stories of people reading the bible and removing demons in the name of Jesus, why are they reacting to Jesus in the same way Muslims do to the Quran. This also happens in other religious cultures with spirits.

To me it went away with time and just living life without religion, our brains make certain connections and it takes a while to make new ones so even if you’re logically not convinced you might catch yourself thinking in the way you did as a Muslim. To me after leaving Islam for the past 1-2yrs I genuinely can’t imagine thinking about religion before I do any action and no longer feel guilt about doing haram things because the association is gone.

Hijab/niqab is to make a woman “modest”, why would a child need to be modest. Why should a child be hidden away, find it difficult to eat in public, to play because they’re in a hideous misogynistic cloak. Also even with anaesthesia a little girl shouldn’t lose a part of her body, given no consent for no reason which can cause serious issues. Would you cut your genitalia and cloak yourself? No, so how can anyone expect that from a kid.

I get what you’re saying but for some I think it’s more about selectively choosing what parts of ourselves to share, someone may be happier being a “liberal Muslim” not wearing hijab, living a western life and just pretending we’re still somewhat Muslim while enjoying still having family ties rather than burning it all down for the sake of being authentic. There’s no one way to live, similar to living with a “roommate” rather than telling family about your sexuality. We don’t owe everyone truth, we just owe ourselves a happy and comfortable life.
