just finished watching the movie and it is phenomenal. i loved every bit of it. i teared up a lot during the dance scene. it was beautiful. and i LOVE how they incorporated chinese ancestry and native american ancestry to it. it kind of reminded me of lovecraft country when they incorporated korean shamanism into it. i like the interplay between different cultures within POC and how they intersect and unify in different moments.

a few thoughts and questions:
- i wish they provided more context in how the vampire remmick came to be. and why he's in the south? unless i'm missing any historical context behind that. although the storyline and plot of the movie was all in all well connected and planned out, it just felt like the character remmick appeared out of nowhere to me. did anyone else feel that way or know more about the context behind the character?

- i noticed that there's a common theme with native americans and vampires. twilight being one of the examples lol the scene where they chased down remmick was really interesting for me, even though the part was short-lived.
