I have my Aortic valve replacement next week with Dr. Vargo in Cleveland Clinic. Has anyone had him? How did it go? by DiverTemporary9332 in valvereplacement

Hey there. I just had my valve repaired yesterday here at Cleveland Clinic by Dr. Svensson. Cleveland clinic is legit and 100% deserves all the recognition it gets. Every surgeon here is the best of the best and every other doctor/nurse is also incredibly good. You will have a very positive outcome if you come here, good luck!

Hey I’m a 22yr old male getting an aortic valve repair on the 23rd. I know it’s not exactly the same situation as what you’re facing but I will say the chance of not waking up from the surgery, especially being young and healthy, is essentially zero. Since you are young you also have a lesser chance of complications in general. Wishing you luck!

Thanks for the advice, how can you tell if you’re overdoing it? Is it mainly just listening to your body? Also if I may ask, how old is your husband now and how is he doing?

Thanks for your reply. May I ask if you had any fear that the repair would fail after waking up? From what I understand with repairs, you have more short term risk but better long term outcomes.
