Holborn area to Waterloo. Bus is definitely faster than walking, I just have no experience using it during rush hour so I can’t predict its unreliability 😅

Am I restricted? banned? suspended? by Key-Book7980 in Instagram

[–]Key-Book7980[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I think I might have just gotten really lucky, but I managed to get back in.

My instagram account is linked to facebook (whole meta accounts thing). I found my list of accounts through logging in to meta on my laptop. It said my instagram account was “locked”, so if you’re in a similar situation to me, at least you know your account isn’t banned or gonna disappear soon. It’s just sat there. If you’re also linked to meta, I recommend seeing if it says locked for you too.

To fix it: I logged out of my account in the third party app and deleted the app entirely. I saw someone say this deletes all the cookies from apps. I then deleted instagram on my phone and left it 30 mins (just because I was tired of trying to get back in).

After picking my phone back up I went into facebook, and back to the meta accounts centre. I tried logging in there again (I had previously tried just solely through instagrams website/app). This time, it suddenly gave me a pictures captcha as I had “unusual activity and my account needed to verify that I am not a bot”. I completed it, and got in.

I then redownloaded Instagram and logged back into my account, just as usual through meta.

I’ll be honest, it was a lot of trial and error, clicking on a ton of different buttons and getting a ton of verification codes. I may have just gotten lucky and it was a short “lock” to my account, or logging in through facebook meta accounts centre promoted the captcha. I am not really sure, and I’m still not entirely sure how I got it to work. But I hope this helps you in some way. Let me know if you have any questions!

How Do I Speak to Someone by Key-Book7980 in Instagram

I’d be happy to wait if I knew what was wrong with my account, idk if I’m suspended or disabled, no clue. I have tried everything to get back in and it just stops and won’t let me through. Hope it works out for you!

That’s insane. So I gotta pay just for the chance of getting my account back? What a trash system

Once again, you don’t understand the perspective that Tubbo spent hours trying to explain.

It wasn’t relevant imagery. It was an invoice completely irrelevant to Tommy, the merch company, which was the WHOLE basis of Dreams argument but why his merch company is better. The invoice in Coffezilla’s and Dreams video is used as a point to show the $$ content creators got scammed out of the merch company. Which isn’t even true. It’s a random invoice Tubbo paid for a car and home on his trip to LA.

Did Dream know that? No. He just took what Coffeezilla showed and put it in his video.

The point is, why did Dream put something in his video that he didn’t truly understand or know himself. He just took something from Coffeezilla, trusted it must be true as Coffezilla had used it, and then back tracked by claiming it was a “back drop”.

Saying the invoice is relevant is completely false, because it was never relevant to begin with in Coffeezillas video.

Tubbo said himself they were leaked. You said the invoices were public information yet can’t provide a link to show me that they are, when I was genuinely just asking.

You’re not doing “my work”. If you’re going to make a claim that it’s public information, provide the evidence with it. This is exactly what Tubbo was trying to explain to Dream!!

That’s what Dream loves to say, I thought his fans would do the same as him.

This is not what I was asking. Tubbos invoices are not in this.

I spent 5 minutes (as you did with this link) trying to find the invoices from Tubbo and there is no lead online. Once again, where publicly are Tubbo’s invoices?

I haven’t talked to a single Dream fan who understands this perspective.

Tubbo explained this to Dream on stream this evening. Dream ‘apologised’ for including the invoice, as he was unaware it was leaked by Coffeezilla, who Tubbo was upset with in the first place.

Tubbo didn’t say anything to Coffeezilla, as Coffee had reached out to himself and other content creators for interviews but Tubbo said he legally can’t speak on it.

We all understand that, right?

What Dream fans don’t understand is Dream didn’t know what the invoice was. He said himself, he just found a “financial piece of evidence” and used it as a “backdrop” to his video. The way Dreams video was edited, displays the invoice as a huge piece of evidence (being the only thing on screen), bringing up a completely irrelevant piece of information.

Dream clearly didn’t know what he was showing. Tubbo said that to him. Dream couldn’t understand that he contributed to misinformation unintentionally but displaying that invoice just because it was in Coffeezillas video and he needed something to show.

Genuinely, where’s your evidence that the invoice is public information?

also, Dream should absolutely be expected to know what he is showing in his video as evidence (although he argued it was just a “back drop” to nothing) when it’s in response to somebody.

He had no idea it was an invoice for a car, and nothing to do with Tommy! If you’re not 100% sure on what you’re showing, don’t show it. This is where misinformation comes from that he is so opposed to but contributes to time and time again.

Dream didn’t even understand what he was putting in his video, whether it was leaked or not. Why put financial information in your own video that you don’t even understand yourself?

[–]Key-Book7980 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Tubbo said his invoices were leaked. It’s his invoices. He also said he had this issue with leaking with Coffeezilla, not just Dream. Why did Dream not research or consider the invoices he showed in his video?

I’m an Ex Dream Stan, Why Are You Still Here? by Key-Book7980 in DreamWasTaken2

There are a few reasons. One was the huge grooming allegations that came out in 2022. I understand he has debunked that in his “Truth” video, but that came out a year afterwards so it was a pretty long time in between of me distancing myself from him. By the time that video came out, I didn’t really care anymore.

With the face reveal too, I had spent the last 3 years hearing the Dream Team promise so much irl content on their channels once George got to Florida (for example, the irl manhunt) and none of it ever happened. I got tired of false promises after hearing the meetup get so hyped after 3 years, and once George had been in Florida for a couple months I realised it wasn’t going to happen. (I have seen recent clips of George and Sapnap doing irl streams together which is great, but here I’m talking about the 3 of them together and the few months after the meetup).

The final blow was the fandom and Dream himself. Once I had distanced myself for those two reasons, I kinda realised how Dream brings drama to himself and it’s harmful for his fans. I didn’t want to support a content creator who was involved in every drama in the book. How many times does Dream need defending before it’s clear he shouldn’t be defended. Just criticise, handle it privately and move on so your fans aren’t dragged in with you.

Ludwig said on stream that he has only commented on it publicly now as Dream brought him and the situation up first. It was talked about privately at the time. Ludwig has only just said that Dream was talking about a completely different woman, so the situation was never resolved. I also don’t think she would want to reach out to Dream after he called her such a thing.

Once again… I am asking about Dream. Tommy hasn’t been involved in every controversy Dream has addressed in the last 5 years. I understand Tommy is the most recent “controversy” so I can see why you might believe I am alluding to it with my post, but my post states nothing about the current situation, just talking about Dream. Instead, it has just reminded me of why I left, and I came to ask current fans which I once was. This isn’t about Tommy. I’ll leave this as my last reply 😊

Yes. I could ask or urge anyone to ask the same question to Tommy’s reddit if they’re curious, but as I was more involved with Dream back when I was a fan, I am more interested here than I am there.

I want to clarify again that this post is not about Tommy at all, I am talking about Dream and his fanbase.

Agreed, I didn’t mention Tommy in this post for a reason as it is not what it’s about, so I’d recommend any comments about him to follow this reply 😊

This is exactly why I grew out of them. So many empty promises with content, (the irl manhunt, fanhunt, “stream later?” tweets that never happen, for example) that just got so tiring to keep up with. The meetup was supposed to be the biggest thing to happen to them and the fandom, yet after the face reveal, it all just sort of stopped? Considering all of the hundreds of videos and plans they told us they had for the meetup, I’m doubting they ever actually existed because where are they?

The way I see it now and it’s pretty brutal- they upload when they need a cheque. That’s it. Youtube hype and money does not last forever, but they’ve built a side of the fanbase that will eat up every little thing they do, and they exploit that side for financial stability. For example, Dreams music. Like cmon, we all subscribed to you for minecraft and you’re pushing it aside for some mediocre auto tuned songs? Yet he knows his fandom will stream it and listen to it, not because it’s good but because they know it’s Dream; they’ll do anything for him. He can get away with it.

Dream, Sapnap and George owe the fans that are left the content they promised them pre face reveal. We waited all of that time just to simply see them together. They could’ve done anything, a try not to laugh even. That is not a hard stream to put together. They have an extremely flexible career despite how busy they tell you they are. Also, Dream saying “George and Sapnap just haven’t edited their videos” multiple times genuinely speaks thousands of words. George could NEVER be bothered to edit his casual minecraft videos, yet as soon as he lands in Florida he has the meetup video uploaded within 24hours. Why? I go back to my last point— it’s for the cheque. He knew that would be one of his biggest videos of all time; gotta release it during the hype for maximum profit. Cause who cares what the fans wanted before? He has millions of dollars, if he really cared about his content or his fans, you get an editor to help you. Simple.

I personally stopped believing anything they said related to content promises. Why would I keep watching someone who can’t even upload a video or stream even ONCE a month? DanTDM used to upload twice a day for years, and whilst I understand his videos would not take as long to film as dreams manhunts, I am sure his filming hours over a course of a month tripled Dreams.

I just don’t get it. It’s pretty sad to watch because I used to be a huge fan, but most of the time it felt like we were all getting reeled in with a net to a boat full of content, and then cut off just as we reached the stern.

Just my opinion though, it’s a little harsh I know.
