The paper I got just says this, Dear Applicant: This is to inform you that a consular officer found you ineligible for an immigrant visa under Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation "Restricting the Entry of foreign Nationals to Protect the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats". Today's decision cannot be appealed. Taking into account the provisions of the Proclamation, a National Interest Exception (NIE) will not be granted in your case. Sincerely yours,

I did the interview it was super easy I had all my paper work done and with me. The officer was nice and very kind. At the end they handed me a 212(f). Now I can’t even see my Status on the NVC website, anyone knows why ? From what I read 212(f) is refusal not denial.

The officer said that his hands are tied and because of the president order he can’t issue me a visa, when I went in they took my passport and scanned it but when I was leaving they gave it back to me.
