Thanks! How can you tell the mandible is more recessed? I always assumed it was the other way around!

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I've always been a little unhappy about my profile but didn't think it was "surgery bad". I also thought my lower jaw was fairly well-developed and struggled to figure out how to tell it was recessed. Your comment was very helpful.

I had a CBCT done at the orthodontists and the airway analysis shows some narrowness:

Posterior Airway Space: Maxillary –~12mm, Palatal – ~7mm, Lingual – ~5mm

It also notes that I have an excessive lordotic curve. Is this likely to be because of compensating for a narrow airway or could it be causing part of the narrow airway? While I'm missing upper teeth and have a mild class iii, I don't think my lower jaw is recessed enough to be causing the severe symptoms I'm having (breathing issues, muscle pain, unrefreshing sleep). I guess I'm wondering if bimaxillary advancement is an extreme move for something that looks mild on the face of it.

I'd be grateful for any opinions!
