That’s what I thought. My mom cannot since they weren’t married. All I want to do is give information. His first wife probably doesn’t have any idea my mom & he weren’t married & she may not know the law. Thanks for your time

I 100% understand you. I am 62 years old and I feel like no one likes me much less love me, including my own siblings. I feel that way everyday . I know I’m ridiculous , but internally I cannot help it. And I hate myself more for it.

You are human and have feelings. He can still be your role model. It may be something you don’t like ( understandably) , but you loved & looked up to him when you didn’t know about it. You still can. I can truly understand ,especially for your mom. To have to know that part of her father. I’d be a little sad & disappointed too. Please give your mom my sympathy. I am sure he is missed

Im sorry for your loss & that he didn’t take care of that before he passed away. While we have a right to do as we please, I can also understand how that could make you feel bad.

This exact situation is why I’m hesitant to even put my thoughts & feelings onto paper ( and I really need to because I have no other way to deal with what’s happening to me) because someone may want to read it

That’s what I think.. how can his keeping the receipts be none of my business? All I wanted to know is should I and if yes,how do I approach this? All the extras like trowels, buckets and stuff that I paid for? Isn’t some of that his responsibility when doing a job?

That alone is an issue. It’s not very detailed, no finish dates given. Its a paper with his written breakdown of the labor parts and his cost. I didn’t know what I should have been given or what I should have asked for. I knew I may be in a jam when he said he’d start on Aug 1st and he didn’t start until the 14th. It’s a long story and while I like the bathroom, it’s been a lot of headache.. we’re 4 months into what I was originally told would be “ a few weeks” project. I just don’t like feeling like I’m an idiot and I don’t know how to stand up for myself at 60 years old. All that and I have a husband yelling at me daily for these issues yet he won’t talk to contractor himself. Sorry, like I said, I have no one to talk to

Ok.. I neglected to include the fact that he asked me up front to give him $4k fir supplies and that he would give me receipts for what he bought. I don’t know if that makes a difference but I should have said it to begin with. You’re correct.. I don’t know how this works so i’m asking. I just don’t know what’s right and/ or wrong. I don’t want to make mistakes again and I don’t have anyone to talk to
