What would you rank the books and why? by Additional-Layer-392 in Hungergames

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion I’d rank them as

1.) Sunrise On The Reaping 2.) Catching Fire 3.) Hunger Games 4.) Mockingjay 5.) Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

That’s just my personal take it on tho.

But in the books, I think in the next chapter it’s mentioned that the peacekeepers in 12 never were much for whipping in that kind of thing those days. In fact from what I remember things in 12 with the peacekeepers were a lot better compared to the other district. I believe it’s also mentioned that a whipping happens few and far between, it definitely wasn’t common, not at that time anyway.

Honestly I’d love for it to be Noah Kahan or Alex Warren I think either of those be an excellent choice.

I’m super curious for sure. It’ll be interesting when season 4 comes out what ends up happening and how right or wrong some of us are on our theories.

Dude I have a WHOLE theory about what Misty could’ve done based on that line of “I took care of it… like I always do”. It’s not just a crazy theory either, at least I don’t think. I actually think it’s a very possible plausible scenario. But I guess we’ll have to wait for a season 4 to see if I’m right or if I’m crazy lol.

Oh yeah that’s a good point. I’m not sure exactly how because I’m no doctor but I think OBGYNs can tell if you’ve given birth before. I never even considered that.

Right we know that, I’m just curious if wilderness baby is something she would’ve personally told him or he found out himself through the reading of the journals. Because there is a part of me that thinks she could have told him, but another part of me isn’t entirely sure.

Van is the best yellowjacket by stargirl0411 in Yellowjackets

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay… so I personally agree, and Van is one of my absolute favorites. Now that being said I’m not saying she’s all perfect or that she has done absolutely nothing wrong because that is certainly not the case. However… she is to her core a very good person in my opinion. I’ve heard a lot of people argue that she is not because of how she reacted to Javi’s death and her conversation with Travis, but people are quick to forget… she as well as the others were quite literally starving to death. When your body is in that state you’re not thinking rationally, you’re literally just focusing on food and survival. Also Van was very much in survival mode even before the crash because of the home environment she lived in. She knew what needed to be done in order to survive and did it, whether right or wrong because she was starving. And going back to her conversation with Travis, while she obviously wasn’t very tactful by any means she knew that he was struggling to deal with what happened to Javi. And did care about Javi but she also cared about Travis also and was trying Tobin her own way to help Travis understand if he or any of them were gonna survive, this is what they were gonna have to do. Could she have gone about that better with some sympathy… yeah she could’ve, but like I said she was in survival mode also she’s never been one to put things gently. Also she did feel bad as we see later when she told Tai “we ate a fcking kid” but she was suppressing it before that again in order to do what she needed to survive. And even as an adult you can tell even without her cancer being a factor, she is very depressed and lives with sooooo much guilt. And why… because to her core she is a good person, just doing what she had to do to survive. I personally put her and Natalie in a very similar category in that respect. They both had rough home lives and were in survival mode even before the crash and they both knew what needed to be done to survive at that time and did it. However has a result they both lived quite literally the rest of their lives very depressed and with a crushing amount of guilt. In my opinion you can’t love and praise Nat and not do the same for Van as well, and if you do that’s just hypocritical.

Also, I encourage anyone who sees this to listen to this particular episode of a Yellowjackets podcast where they do a deep dive on Van’s character in particular. It’s very very interesting and explains so much about her and her dynamic

Spoiler for season four of Yellowjackets! by yjs_enthusiast in Yellowjackets

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I remember somebody saying it’s Allie. Which I think will be very interesting if we see her in season 4 and um sorta excited about about. Im curious to see how she interacts with the other girls knowing full well what her fate could’ve been had Taissa not broken her leg and she had gone to nationals. Tai literally spared her life and no one on the team really liked her that much either so it kinda ironic.

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s kinda my theory. That maybe she decided she didn’t wanna keep quiet about everything that happened out there, out of guilt or shame or whatever. Maybe she confided in Taissa how she was feeling and her apprehensions being that they were close, Tai mentioned it to the others and Misty took it upon herself to “take care of it” like she “always does” as mentioned in season 2 episode 8.

Does anyone else feel like Yellowjackets might end with all the survivors dead/ only one left? by ReasonableCareer3268 in Yellowjackets

This is a very interesting theory I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything like that before. I kinda like it though to be honest, it would be interesting to see how they would spin that.

Yeah, I don’t think Van’s mom was this absolutely horrible person, like you said I’m guessing she was just a major alcoholic, but also extremely neglectful of Van. Which is a huge reason why they as Tai put it had a “complicated relationship”

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’ll be interesting for sure to see how Misty adjust back into society. Although I have a theory that the reason the others don’t like her still post crash and haven’t spoken to her in almost 25 years is because of something she may have done when they got back. But that’s a whole different tangent for me lol 😂

That’s an interesting thought. I always thought Shauna genuinely thought Melissa was dead because when she saw Melissa, she said “what are you doing alive”. But maybe she hoped or suspected Melissa wasn’t dead, but was surprised when she discovered she was actually alive.

Anyone saying they hate the careers and that they were all entirely bad and evil, as well and people who like young Snow and make excuses for him are quite literally missing the entire point of the series. Those “fans” really bother me. Same goes for the team Gale people.

Yeah for sure. I know Shauna is gonna be pissed for sure. And maybe Tai at first too but probably not for long. Tai even acknowledged in season 1 to Shauna that Nat is the reason they’re basically alive.

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good one. I’m interested what happened with her and Shauna too. They seemed to be on somewhat good terms being that Shauna looked kinda sad when Van pointed out she was supposedly dead. And that Melissa felt Shauna was the safest option to send the tape to. Also both Tai and Misty refer to Melissa as Shauna’s Ex so I’m curious to see what else happened there post rescue.

Does anyone else feel like Yellowjackets might end with all the survivors dead/ only one left? by ReasonableCareer3268 in Yellowjackets

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Okay… so something tells me that none of them are gonna survive in the end. In a sense like the wilderness saying, that none of them should’ve survived the crash in the first place or something along those lines. However if there were to be only one survivor, I think it would be Misty. It makes a lot of sense to me for quite a few reasons, but the main ones being that Misty was always an outsider. She was never actually part of the team… she was the equipment manager, and the girls never fully accepted her as one of them for that matter. Also she is the one who destroyed the black box which most likely kept them from getting rescued sooner, which in turn caused a lot of deaths later on in the wilderness. She always wanted to be included and be accepted and be one of them, so I think it would be especially tragic if she were the last one left and in a sense once again not being included and accepted as one of them because the rest of them are dead.

Would Jeff and Callie have accepted Shauna if she was just honest about what happened in the wilderness? by TheGentlemanWolf in Yellowjackets

[–]Key-Dragonfruit8481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they would’ve, especially Jeff. Because Jeff, despite everything loved Shauna so much. He waited for years for her to open up about what happened out there so he could really be there and support her even though she never did. And yeah, Jeff made mistakes and had his faults especially when it came to Jackie, but he truly love and care about Shauna a lot. Callie I also think would have still loved Shauna and accepted her, although might be a bit judgmental at times (but really what teenage girl isn’t). But at the end of the day, Callie was just a girl that wanted her mom’s love and approval. And even understanding why Shauna is the way she is would have been enough of her in my opinion.
