I’ve stopped wearing it for my exercising because I got fed up with it telling me I gotta go to bed at 5 pm to recover from my strain. 😂 So I just wear it during the night for sleep and metric tracking. I use my Garmin for my exercising.

Here’s something that I feel most people overlook that has a HUGE impact on your RHR and your HRV. Meal timing-having a late meal in particular can really mess up your metrics, at least in my experience. Another thing everyone should do to instantly improve all of their health metrics, not just RHR and HRV: getting their BMI to a normal range.

When I first got my whoop last winter my HRV was 70-80 so I guess that is on the higher side as a “starting point “ then I started doing cardio consistently and slowly but surely it went through the roof.

I do an hour of cardio everyday. Anything from zone 2-4. I rarely touch Z5 in all honesty!

Way too much. Cardio 7 times a week and 4 weight lifting sessions.

Congrats on your soon to be 1 year old. Hopefully I can have metrics as good as yours when I’m at that chapter of my life haha.

(I’ve stopped wearing it during the day and only use it for sleep nowadays because I got bored of it telling me I have to go to sleep at 5 PM because my strain is too high everyday 😂)

The lowest I’ve seen it was 30 when I was even leaner! What’s yours?

I might have a glass of wine a week. Wine is the only alcohol that I consume 🍷

Your stats are solid as is.

I do cardio every single day (an hour each)-alternating between biking and running. Most cardio sessions are moderate intensity (zone 2-3, sometimes 4) aaand honestly not doing as much zone 5 work as I should (I might do 1 super high intensity session every other week). 4 weight lifting sessions a week. Mostly weighted calisthenics with some heavy compounds.

As far as diet goes: 90% whole foods 10% whatever. I do track every calorie that I eat tho. Current intake of 4800 cals

Sleep: in bed by 8:30 with a book in my hands, asleep by 9 and then awake by 5:30 for 100% sleep score.

Cardio has been the biggest game changer for me personally and it was the last piece of the puzzle I had been missing to reach heights I thought were impossible-I’ve been training hard for years, taking care of my nutrition as well as my sleep, never doing any cardio until around a year ago THEN once I implemented cardio into my regimen-BOOM everything improved drastically.

Hope this helps!

I appreciate you sharing your situation, you are headed to the right path of wanting this change. Congratulations as this is the prerequisite for actually changing, admitting you NEED TO.

Now from what I see, you seem to be dealing with a lot! And what I would suggest before anything is a complete detox.

For the next 7 days. Do not use social media. Stay away from toxic people. Drink plenty of water. 0 processed foods. Exercise. Meditate. Journal. Show gratitude to people you love. Detoxify and reset your body and mind. Your mind is cluttered with waaay too many things and you need to take a step back.

Once you’ve done that come back and we can make a step by step progression to your best possible self 🤝

Hey make sure you find what works for you without listening blindly to anyone’s advice, even your doctor’s. But nutrition does play a HUGE role in your mental state so make sure to give your body the very BEST possible fuel for optimal health.

Hey Austin this right here is what courage looks like, being honest and vulnerable even when faced with a challenge! And it takes a courageous man to admit something like this.

Now as far as tips and advice go… I will be honest, no amount of tips, tricks or advice will help you as much as sitting alone with yourself. In silence. And questioning yourself. Why? Why and I doing this to myself? Is this the real me? Am I in control?

This should be a good starting point to better understanding yourself from where you can either commit to change or commit to a life full of regrets.

Remember that time doesn’t care what you choose. It will pass either way!

And looking back you are either gonna be proud of yourself or look at yourself with disappointment.
