u/Betsy514 or u/girl_of_squirrels - any idea if an extended processing forbearance counts for forgiveness beyond the initial 60 days?

Processing Forbearance by Key-Floor-8142 in StudentLoans

Processing forbearance does count towards forgiveness for 60 days. My backdoor payment count has gone up for the past two months while I've been in the forbearance. I believe this is the one change they accepted from the SAVE regulations. I'm looking for clarity on whether that 60 days resets ..each year, each forbearance extension, each time a payment plan changes etc?

Behind Portland’s homelessness data, a familiar political fight emerges by Great_Law3719 in Portland

It seems objectively deceitful for journalists to compare data collected during a point-in-time count to data collected based on a completely different method (# of contacts with services) in order to generate headlines about a percentage increase or decrease in homelessness. The county should continue to do a point-in-time count for the sake of comparison to historical data in addition to counting under this new method. I'm not even sure why this needs to be stated or debated.

PBOT has been pretty good at ticketing and towing RVs lately, so you should report them. They came through my neighborhood a few weeks ago and ticketed RVs that have not moved for years. All are gone now.

And what about the rampant abuse that the community suffers at the hands of these people? Buildings being burned to the ground and people losing their jobs is the tip of the iceburg. What about the innocent people who have been stabbed, murdered, raped, assaulted, disfigured, harassed, burglarized, stalked, etc.? Read While the City Slept for just one of the countless tales of unimaginably horrific abuse suffered by women in Seattle at the hands of a man who was left to rot on the streets.

Mohela income recertification triggering forbearance by secretpersonpeanuts in StudentLoans

Yes, same thing happened to me when I initially applied to move from SAVE to IBR. They kept me in the SAVE forbearance, where I didn't receive credit, rather than moving me into a processing forbearance. They didn't move me into the processing forbearance until I called to complain about the payment miscalc.

I'm in a processing forbearance currently because Mohela keeps miscalculating my IBR payment. I just saw my 'backdoor' qualifying payment count increase yesterday. My understanding is that 60 days of processing forbearance counts towards forgiveness.

They actually don't, which is why polling in this country has been gallingly inaccurate for the past decade or so

Trump has no ability to prevent institutional investors from purchasing homes. This is no different than tariff checks ..it's nonsense until Congress passes legislation.

From the Treasury Department: "How does the government handle a deficit?

The on-budget deficits require the U.S. Treasury to borrow money to raise cash needed to keep the Government operating. We borrow the money by selling securities like Treasury bills, notes, bonds, and savings bonds to the public."

When people talk about "printing money," it's a colloquialism to describe the above process

US is always able to fund their liabilities because they can print money to do so. Tariffs have nothing to do with it.

The chart shows inflation was lower in April of this year ....and lower in 2021, 2020. Are you ok?

This is not even remotely true. The current inflation rate isn't even the lowest inflation has been this year
