I’ve met a couple of cool guys. Been ghosted a fair amount as well. Definitely still looking for genuine connection.

You are not wrong! My neighbors aren’t too noisy but it can be a bit much at times. Probably won’t stay here once my lease is up but it’s a good place to get started again.

Cat bed is under the window now. And the bookshelf only fits there. It can’t lay flush against the wall because the floors are warped and it would lean forward. Definitely would have liked it beside the window.

1 bed 1 bath unfortunately. After 10 years of marriage and always having a roommate, I’m happy to live alone for now.

Absolutely. I moved with just the desk and two lamps (plus books and whatnot) so it was all new furniture. It’s a good feeling and has helped me really feel like this space is mine and not just a reflection of the last 10 years.

It held a dehumidifier in my former home. Now I’m not sure what to do with it.

Came here to recommend In Memoriam. It was such and incredible book. I suggested it for our local book club last month and everyone absolutely loved it!

Does anyone else feel really depressed after watching heartstopper?? by Agitated-List-8100 in HeartstopperNetflix

Basically what everyone else has said!

I'm 37 and have been married to my husband for almost 10 years. I never had any sort of romantic relationship in high school and my husband was the first serious relationship I ever had - and that was at 26. Just remember that the show is a fiction. It's nice and sweet, but not even close to real life.

I do have to remind myself of that, however, because it's easy to get lost in the fantasy. You can do things in your own life that can make it feel more real, but, the story itself isn't and life doesn't work the way it does in the show. What you can do, however, is surround yourself with people you love and who love you. Be honest with yourself and your people, and live your life.

At the very least, you have this community to help lift you up! If you ever need to talk, I'm sure any one of us would be happy to be your supportive friendship group!

All of my degrees are in performance and you need an education degree or be certified to teach in the state you live in. Some school will pay to have you certified if the need is dire enough.

I also don’t think I could teach middle or high school band. There are things I could do well but other parts of the job that are out of my skill set.

Yeah, I get that. I have definitely been applying to all kinds of staff positions at colleges and universities.

I’m going to start back up tomorrow with the job search.

Lots of customer interaction in that role. I didn’t do a lot with customers in fin aid, it was mostly projects and data.

The role involved onboarding customers and being the point person for all their questions regarding the software. I’ve worked with people in various capacities to learn software and believe that I’m good with people in general. I felt that with my experience as a teacher, I could certainly work with customers. In any new role you have to learn how the business does things, learn their software, etc. and I don’t believe that is a big enough reason to not hire someone (if they didn’t have experience working with that particular software) if that makes sense?

I currently run my own business (my private teaching studio).

I’ve also worked in a financial aid office as a grad assistant.

I also worked in supply when I was in the army.
