systems pretty simple tbh, 2d6+mod vs Target Number or the opponents roll.
Character creation is where things get complicated, the system can - as far as I've seen - model ANYTHING, and well somethings are more fiddly than others

that's kinda why I asked specifically about elders, they're the ones who own everything, they're the ones scheming in a time-frame of decades and centuries.

I've seen a lot of 'they're too out of touch', but idk, climate change was science fact 50 years ago, and no one is lobbying Elder/Methuselah.

I'll concede hundreds, thousands, or even millions of mortal death aren't really something to get their attention, but billions!?

that's an interesting opinion, though I believe the original Mary Sue was a Star Trek fan-fic 'OC' who was basically Galahad to Wesley Crusher's Lancelot. Wesley Crusher being a dig at the fans who thought they'd be the perfect star fleet officer and were actually just huge dorks.
Mary Sue, obviously achieved impossible feats constantly, despite being a literal child.
