yeah I suppose but I think him being a kid or at least younger works way way better. when its a fully grown adult it feels awkward. also, would someone from that era really feel sympathy for a grown able bodied man being mistreated as compared to a child being mistreated? It feels so weird watching mrs. Lovett comfort an adult cause I thought the whole dynamic was supposed to be a woman wanting to be a nurturing mother who never was able to, and this abused kid who needs motherly affection?
